• 5+ years of medical publishing experience; additional experience in nursing editorial acquisition and development preferred
• Solid understanding of the medical market channels, clinical specialties and electronic point of care marketplace
• Exceptional management and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with an editorial team comprised of medical/nursing professionals
• Clinical content development ability and expertise. The ability to integrate multiple, complex clinical and scientific results, data, and opinions into concise integrated documents.
• Evidence of medical writing, copyediting, and project management skills required; knowledge of electronic and online publishing preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple editorial relationships and cultivate new relationships and products
• Ability to analyze proposed new projects and present project ideas to executive team in terms of marketability, review of elements of the proposal and financial analysis
• Solid computer skills; knowledge of electronic content management system preferred
• Some travel will be required
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
• Achieve annual quota for new signed products
• Meet annual revenue projections of signed acquisitions
• Act as senior representative of editorial services to partners, clients and new and existing customers
• Develop and manage editorial contractual relationships
• Pursuing new content development opportunities from inception to contract
• Reviewing editorial website content and product marketing releases as needed
• Participate in executive planning sessions and editorial board activities
• Collaborating on product development
