We currently seek a purchasing professional to fill the role of Buyer.
The responsibilities include:
· purchase apparel and ad specialty items from vendors
· evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
· create and submit purchase orders to our vendors
· confirm vendor received orders
· approve art proofs and acknowledgements
· confirm orders shipped
· handle vendor discrepancies
· maintain internal spreadsheets
· keep internal system updated
· work closely with all internal departments.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
· Previous purchasing experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Detail oriented with good follow-up skills.
· Strong computer knowledge including Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet.
· Familiarity with concepts, practices and procedures within the promotional products industry a plus.
