1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula LT1 V8 - $4000 (Wheeling)
I have a 1996 Firebird Formula, with the LT1 V8 (engine in the Corvette) with 102k miles. The car is an A4, but was rebuilt last August with performance parts (clutches, steels, band, sprag, sun shell, shift kit, 2500 stall converter, etc.)Also, installed new plugs and wires a while ago, as well as an Accel opti cap and rotor. I have the paperwork from the jobs. The car is a hardtop and is Mystic Teal Metallic with graphite cloth interior. Alpine CD player, A/C blows ice cold.
The car has a few aftermarket parts. It has a K&N cold air intake, a strut tower brace, subframe connectors, and rear lower control arms from UMI Performance, so the car handles really well. Since I have owned the car I have maintained it rigorously, full synthetic oil changes. The car is in great shape and is really fast. I also have a pair of 15 x 10 Weld Prostar rims with MT 275/60R-15 Drag Radials, all brand new, that I will include for an extra $500 if the buyer is interested. I will NOT sell the rims and tires until the car is sold, so please do not ask if I will sell them seperate.
There are a few issues that the car has, but they are minor. First, the previous owner removed the rear seats but cut the rear seatbelts and also a small portion of the carpet just behind the rear seats. Second, there is a rear brake squeak that I can't figure out. The car has new rear rotors, pads and calipers, but still makes noise. There is a GM TSB on the rear brake caliper mounting brackets, so that could be the issue. Those are really the only issues with the car.
Due to the pros and cons of my car, I am willing to part with it for $4000, and not a penny less. If I cannot sell the car within the next few weeks, I will bite the bullet and keep it. As far as trades, I would say that the only cars that I would consider a trade for are: 1997+ GTP, or 1993+ Lincoln Mark VIII's. Other than that, no trades.
