HR 938, the Nuclear Family Priority Act, by Phil Gingrey (R-GA), would eliminate chain migration and expedite the reunification of married couples and parents with their young children.
With the outrage expressed about illegal immigration--appropriately so--we must not forget that massive legal immigration places a great strain on our environment, infrastructure, and security. Furthermore, chain migration increases the pressure for more illegal immigration.
Relatives of legal residents either overstay their visas or enter the U.S. illegally in the hope of receiving visas or a new amnesty. In addition, the processing of this huge number of legal immigrants consumes the limited resources of overburdened immigration officials, detracting them from catching illegal immigrants and preventing the entry of terrorists.

Let me prepare you: there is a lot of bad news in this update. This post
has to be written in order to obtain donations.

The Great Dane puppy, has been named Katie. "She will have her leg amputated
in the morning. Dr. Cook believes that, in time, the nerve damage to the other
leg should correct itself. If not, they can go back in and clear the
calcification around the nerves."

"They also tested her hearing and she is completely deaf. And due to the impact
of whatever happened (we may never know)the pupil in her left eye has shifted
to what is known as Horner's Syndrome. This causes her to look down in that
eye. They think she has sight in it and she will be seen by an ophthlamologist
in the morning. These injuries are at least two weeks old!!!"(This dog was
surrendered by a friend of the owner)

"I do not know exactly what the total bill will be for her yet. Her doctors
will call me tomorrow after the surgery. I will send out an update after I

We are seeking to find a permenant, part-time female personal assistant for our special needs daughter. She is 10 1/2 yrs. old (though functions under 1 year old) She is a very happy, energenic little girl with a magnetic personality.

For rest of summer, looking for day sitting. When she returns to school in August, we are looking for someone 3:00pm - around 7pm daily. This includes feeding meals, bathing, gentle range of motion exercises with her, playing with her (she LOVES country music!)It would also entail light house work, preparing her meals, little tasks.
She uses a wheelchair, leg braces on/off, bath chair, has a G-Tube for overnight feeds and meds.
The pay is $9.35/Hr-paid through by the state with a check every 2 weeks. About 85 hours a month+. Must be responsible, committed, have own transportation to our home.

I would also be interested in going to local petco's and petsmart's for adoption days.
