In the Forgive for Good on-line interactive class series, Dr. Frederic Luskin presents the forgiveness training methodology that has been validated through nine successful research studies conducted through the Stanford Forgiveness Projects. Prior to the current surge in research interest, the importance of practicing forgiveness was extolled in both religious and psychological traditions. Recently, Dr. Luskin's, and others' research, has confirmed its virtues in the promotion of psychological, relationship and physical health. Forgiveness has been shown to reduce anger, hurt, depression and stress and lead to greater feelings of optimism, hope, compassion and self confidence.

who desire to make or alter clothing for themselves and their families.

Supervisor and Head Tailor for: Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, Bigsby
& Kruthers, Brittany LTD, Robert Vance, Turner Bros.Whitehouse &
Hardy and others.
Mr. Stiles taught Tailoring & Fashion Designing at eleven Colleges including
Prairie State, Moraine Valley,Triton, Oakton and others. Since leaving the colleges,
Mr. Stiles has opened in Chicago the EWS Tailoring & Fashion Design Academy, in
1995. He has been teaching these classes from 1995 to the present. In January
2009 his classes will also be available in Skokie IL and in the Chicago Loop.
No sewing experience is required. All semesters are continuing,
giving you the option to further develop and enhance your skills.
BASIC SEWING – TAILORING CLASSES
Students at all skill levels are welcome to learn how to sew. Learn
the special techniques that top European and domestic designers
use in clothing construction, fittings, and pressing. Stop making
those "homemade-looking" clothes and learn how to make them
like the professionals.
PATTERN MAKING CLASSES
Learn the formulas used to draft patterns from beginning to end for
ready-to-wear and custom garments. Stop wasting time and money
using commercial patterns! Learn to make your own clothes and draft
patterns that will fit and complement your body. These are the same
formulas used by top European and domestic designers. Product and
development, a procedure used to help designers improve and complete
their patterns, will be taught.

Literally meaning "skill with the body", Taijutsu forms the basis for all understanding in the Bujinkan Dojo. By developing natural responses with the body during initial training, physical lessons are created and used as models for tactical instruction in personal protection, self-defense, and moral character.
Budo Taijutsu can teach you to:

MBSR is an 8-week intensive training in mindfulness based on ancient
healing practices. Mindfulness practice is ideal for cultivating
greater awareness of the unity of mind and body, as well as of the ways
our unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can undermine
emotional and physical health. The mind is known to be a factor in
stress and stress-related disorders, and mindfulness has been shown to
positively effect a range of autonomic physiological processes, such as
lowering blood pressure and reducing overall arousal and emotional
reactivity. In addition to mindfulness practices, MBSR uses different
forms of body movement to help reverse disuse atrophy attributable to
our culture's largely sedentary lifestyle, especially for those with
pain and chronic illnesses.

Zanies Comedy Club is proud to announce the winter session of standup comedy classes designed to reveal secrets of how to both write and perform standup comedy successfully.
Classes will begin January 2009 at all three Zanies locations and run for five consecutive weeks. These classes will be featuring "The Maxwell Method” of learning comedy developed by veteran headlining comedian Dobie Maxwell.
Dobie Maxwell has taught at Zanies in Chicago and at various locations across the U.S. since 1993 and has authored many articles on the subject. This course is designed to instill the fundamentals of comedy success both on stage and off and is a sound foundation on which a comedy career can be built correctly.
Students will be given a chance to perform on the famous Zanies stage and get honest feedback and constructive critiques of their comedic ability and how to develop it further. This course is packed with useful information –and is FUN!
Even if you do not have the desire to become a standup comic, Zanies comedy classes are designed for the curious who want to find out what standup comedy is all about. Zanies comedy classes are designed for the beginner, but can also help the business professional that must make presentations by building confidence and making them more effective public speakers.
