eShow is looking for a hands-on Manager of Product Development to lead its software engineering team in delivering innovative eShow products.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to CEO
Responsibilities
1) Make eShow successful.
2) Grow and manage a high performance, experienced software engineering team that delivers new eShow products and features.
3) Create new tools that allow customization and provisioning by eShow’s products and eShow’s operations team.
4) Develop tools and scripts to speed development of new products
5) Work with senior members of the engineering team to ensure technical design is consistent with eShow’s architecture and is of high quality.
6) Liaison with business development and product management to ensure new client deployments are successful.
7) Plan and schedule execution of product engineering efforts making appropriate trade-offs in time, quality and budget.
Requirements / Qualities
1) Track record of success in dynamic, small group or company environments.
2) High energy with strong work ethic and commitment.
3) Ability to collaborate with others in an ego-less manner to get the right answer.
4) Experience in successfully managing engineers and projects.
5) Strong communication skills, particularly in managing team and communicating technical matters to non-engineer stakeholders.
6) Ability to develop simple tools and scripts using Linux, Ms SQL, Coldfusion 8.0, and XML.
7) 5 years experience in software with at least 1.5 years as a technical lead or development manager. Experienced in the product development life cycle requirements
gathering, specification, documentation, testing, release, and maintenance. Familiar with CVS and Bugzilla or other mainstream version control and bug tracking
packages.
8) BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred

Manage and document weekly calls with the client and internal teams.
Plan and schedule resources for multiple jobs ranging from full website projects, to small change requests, to planned monthly retainer items.
Work with clients, designers and engineers to document site requirements.
Develop site charts, wire frames and logic flow diagrams.
Review client requests, brainstorm solutions and help the client come to the best solution given time, resources and budget.
Manage feature creep with a friendly and cooperative approach.
Perform quality assurance testing, communicate issues and ensure a solid end product.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree.
3+ years of experience developing web based solutions from inception to post launch marketing.
Programming and database experience is a plus.
Travel industry experience is a plus.
