The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has an 18 month temporary assignment available for an Online Curriculum Associate in our Education Department.
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the development and maintenance of educational offerings delivered via the Web to support the AACPS Plastic Surgery Curriculum project.
Supports communication with selected Curriculum Development Subcommittee Co-Chairs and/or Educational Web Portal Physician editors to identify, re-purpose and maintain curriculum content.
Works with outside publishers and authors to obtain permissions and licenses to host content chosen to support the curriculum.
Works with Online and Practice Management Education Team Leader, Online Education Associate, ASPS IT department and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of the curriculum with the Plastic Surgery Educational Web Portal.
Experience/Education; Two years experience in developing medical education programs for virtual media; Two years experience in association, university or corporate educational program planning preferred; Bachelor's degree in communications, education or information systems-related field.
Content management system user experience, experience developing and implementing online educational courses, project management/planning skills, knowledge of healthcare field preferred, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under deadline pressure, ability to use content management system and Web-related technologies; understanding of basic HTML and editing tools, strong time management and organizational skills.
