The Job Coach is the link between the employer and the adult individual we serve, and develops plans to provide supports for the person served to ensure a successful transition into competitive community employment.<br>

The Job Coach:<br>
<br>
-Acts as the primary liaison between adult individual we serve with a disability and the employer, providing individual advocacy, job training, and counseling to meet the needs of the individual and the employer¡¦s standards.<br>
<br>
-Coordinates the job development process by assessing and observing potential work sites, and giving feedback for employment candidates.<br>
<br>
-Meet with the adults served interested in community employment, and provides guidance to the individuals served in resume development, teaching appropriate work behavior, assists in application writing, attends, and interview (when applicable).<br>
<br>
-Responsible for implementing the Vocational Training Assessment, by observing, assessing, documenting and training adults served that are interested in a specific vocational area.  Feedback and recommendations are reported to the service team for appropriate follow through on desired employment options. <br>

Work Hours: <br>

-7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday<br>
-40 hours per week<br>
-12 months per year<br>

<description><![CDATA[Hanover Township Youth and Family Services seek a highly motivated and creative individual to manage Hanover Township’s successful Open Gym and Year-round Open Gym Programs.  Since 1995 the Open Gym Program has provided free positive activities for youth ages 5-18.  The purpose of the Open Gym Program is offer alternatives to delinquent or gang behavior in a safe, drop-in atmosphere during summer, winter and spring vacations.  The past spring break, Open Gym had its 40,000 youth visit to Open Gym. In September, Open Gym expanded to a year-round format, every day after school, Monday-Friday, for four hours.  Year-round Open Gym is a combination of recreational, educational and social activities, plus the addition of homework help, physical fitness classes and leadership training.<br>
<br>
Job Responsibilities: supervision to Open Gym staff and interns, oversee Open Gym volunteers, recruitment and retention of Open Gym and Year-round Open Gym staff, manage budgets, market  Gym Programs, manage Open Gym supplies, equipment and vehicle usage, provide outreach and prevention services( including mentoring, youth leadership, homework assistance, support groups and community education), coordinate services with area social services providers, school administrators, park districts and police departments and participate in research related to outreach and prevention.  <br>

Job Skills:  Knowledge of system theories, and best practices related to understanding and prevention of juvenile delinquency, skilled in networking and establishing relationships with community resources, skilled in expressing ideas effectively, orally and in  writing, proficient in using computer systems including Microsoft Office software, ability to interface effectively with diverse populations, collaborate and negotiate with macro and micro community systems, strong sense of self, self awareness and confidence, manage strong emotions and mediate value conflicts effectively, knowledge in gangs and prevention approaches and fluent, both spoken and written, in English and Spanish preferred.<br>

REPORTS TO: Program Administrator<br>

PROGRAM: Adult Residential Services<br>

PURPOSE: The Program Manager has primary responsibility for the assessment, development and oversight of all program services for individuals receiving intermittent support services in the CILA/SLA/CILA 1/Home Based CILA program. The Program Manager works collaboratively in establishing an environment that is conducive to the successful provision of services as outlined by Little City Foundation’s policies and procedures and regulatory bodies charged with the surveillance of Little City’s programs.<br>
<br>
QUALIFICATIONS: The Program Manager must have obtained a four-year degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and have accumulated a minimum of two years working experiences with individuals with developmental challenges and have had at least six months supervisory experience. The position requires either current QMRP certification, or current possession of all requirements for QMRP certification. The Program Manager must successfully complete Little City Foundation’s Orientation and Training program and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.<br>
