Our recently opened Hampton Inn and Suites is seeking a SALES COORDINATOR .
The purpose of the Sales Coordinator is to increasing room revenue by increasing production of existing special, corporate/travel agent/consortia accounts and groups in conjunction with the Sales Manager(s).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with Company Standards of Service as outlined for JHM Hotels
Project a favorable image of JHM Hotels to the public at all times
Treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
Complete Departmental, JHM Hotels and Brand standards training as assigned
Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times. A complete uniform (or business dress for non-uniformed associates) must be worn at all times in public areas, including name tag.
Handle Transient, and Group activity
Handle RFP process for Consortia and Corporate Accounts
Understand GDS and Internet channels.
Develop target accounts and action plans to solicit group room related business.
Develop relationships with key lead generating sources i.e., third parties, CVB, the sales organization.
Conduct sites visit and tours of hotel entertain qualified clients.
Attend clients events special third party events to build relationships and secure business leads.
Find creative approaches to both attract and retain business.
Use resources to research and find new and existing business.
Be self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Know how to prepare unique client proposals for group programs.
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Pursue opportunities in untapped Corporate Markets for Individual transient sales efforts - Travel Agencies, Wholesale segment focus;
HOTEL EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.
