<description><![CDATA[The City of Aurora is currently accepting applications for a Systems Analyst position for the Police Department.  The successful candidate will be a team player, possess excellent database skills, and be able to work responsibly and independently.  The systems analyst must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.  <br>
<br>
Primary job duties are focused on database administration and design for Police Information Systems.  This position is also responsible for assisting the Department’s Crime Analyst and other City employees in the manipulation, review, approval and accuracy of complex reports, charts and graphs involving crime trend data and other Departmental data.  This position requires direct interaction and communication with end-users to identify, analyze and develop user needs & requirements in order to provide data solutions.  The position provides general technical support for APD employees and related users on a wide variety of technology topics including hardware, software, and data; is most directly responsible for assisting users in using and troubleshooting a variety of Computer Aided Dispatch and records management applications.  This position is also responsible for 24x7 on-call support of all systems on a rotating basis.<br>
   <br>
Position requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent database work experience. Requires at least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in information systems. Knowledge of CAD (computer aided dispatch), Police Records Management Systems, IBM RS/6000 (AIX), and experience with Unidata/Universe/PICK database design a plus. The position requires that the applicant have a valid driver’s license.<br>

Job description:<br>
You will be handling inbound sales inquiries and customer service requests, as well as helping to get the product out the door (packing the orders for shipment by UPS). This position will also be part of developing our corporate initiative to expand sales in this area by creating quotes and invoices, following up on inquiries as well as working with our Director of Sales and Marketing on 2010 planning.   <br>

1. Communications skills – You will be communicating with a lot of different people through email and phone.  You represent Train Signal and our products and it is imperative that your email and phone communication skills are both professional and courteous.  Contacting people, building relationships and delivering on promises is what this position is all about. <br>

2. Sales skills – You will be communicating with potential or past customers who are inquiring about a product or strictly to place an order. You will need to represent Train Signal in a very professional fashion and address any questions the customer might have. 3. Technical skills – You will  need to have a good understanding of computers and networking  to properly support and sell our training courses.  <br>

We are looking for a hands-on technician trainer who can also service equipment and provide technical support for our field technicians. This is a hands-on electro-mechanical service job, not a computer or classroom trainer position.<br>
<br>
We are experiencing significant growth as we expand our worldwide business into the United States. We supply and maintain commercial automatic espresso machines used by national chain restaurants. We are one of the suppliers for the McDonald’s specialty coffee program<br>
<br>
Melitta MSS is an international manufacturer of commercial coffee equipment; we invented the drip coffee paper filter cone in 1908!<br>
<br>
Duties include:<br>
Conduct hands on classes for field service technicians in machine installation, repair, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting<br>
Field service work and machine installations<br>
Provide support for new and existing field service technicians<br>
Instruct technicians in the setup and calibration of new espresso machines<br>
Telephone support to guide technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic and electronic systems<br>
Evaluate finished product taste and appearance; Latte, Cappuccino, etc<br>
In store training for customers and machine operators <br>
Write service bulletins and instructions for service procedures<br>
Travel is required<br>

The majority daily work will consist of working with groups of field service technicians in our training shop. This hands on practice to repair and troubleshoot machines will ensure that our technicians have the skills and resources to become valuable assets for Melitta’s expansion.<br>
<br>
Qualifications:<br>
Ideal candidate will have worked as a field service tech and have outstanding communication and training skills. 5-10 years electro-mechanical experience preferred. 3 years of supervisory experience within the coffee/beverage industry helpful but not required. Electronics or related degree preferred.<br>
<br>

•	Technical degree or previous electro-mechanical training<br>
•	Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude<br>
