UNI offers classes for First-Time Homebuyers that are held 3 consecutive Mondays of each month from 6-8:30p.m., FREE of charge. The workshops cover such topics as shopping for a loan, budgeting, savings, credit issues and much more.
Upon completion, the client is eligible for the City of Hammond's HOMEBOUND program and any Federal or State assistance and once they become a Hammond homeowner their children are eligible for COLLEGE BOUND. Classes are Facilitated by Consumer Credit Counseling Services, NWI, Judit Samson, Instructor. We also offer quarterly workshops on reverse mortgages and landlord tenants rights.
