I am getting rid of my 2 ferrets. I've had them for about 3 years and just don't have nearly the amount of time that I once used to, to let them run around & play. I feel that they would be better served with a family who has more time & ambition to take them out of the cage for an hour or so each day to play with them. I'm asking that whomever adopts these pets please be very animal friendly and conscious that ferrets knock stuff over, get into all sorts of mischief and poop / pee in the corners of the room they're in. If you are not ready for this, please look for a cat instead! Ferrets act this way by nature and I'm not looking to adopt these pets to someone who will get mad or feel as if they need to discipline them when they knock over a bottle of water or a stack of papers when they're out of their cage!

I'm also not looking to adopt to a family w/ very young children, as they may hurt the ferrets. I would like that everyone who will be handling these animals are at least old enough to understand that they can easily be hurt of killed if you play w/ them too roughly.

Includes cage, sleeping towel (which they love), water bottles & 3 weeks worth of food.

Both ferrets are VERY friendly and VERY playful. The only nipping they do is the female will sometimes try to play tug of war w/ the skin on your feet & arms if she becomes really excited & playful. This does not hurt, however it does sometimes scare people who are not used to them. She never actually bites down, just tries to pull your skin. She not not being mean, as she's only playing when she does this. I'll demonstrate when you come to see them if shes in a playful mood.

I would ask that whoever adopts these friendly critters takes a hour or 2 of time and ferret proofs their home or rooms that the ferrets will play in before picking them up. Ferrets are AMAZING escape artists and will find a way to get out if you leave an area open.

These animals are cage trained, meaning they'll goto the washroom in their litter box when in their cage, however if you leave them running around the room w/out supervision, expect to have messes in the corners of your room, as they do not always go back to their cage to goto the washroom.

Earlier this month, I found a dog running down the street and I picked her up so she wouldn't get hit by a car, reported her to the humane societies and listed her on craigs list as a "lost dog" so her owner could claim her, and no one did. A couple of days later, she escaped from my yard and was picked up by the pound. Linda (from the pound) took her home for the weekend and didn't want to take her to the shelter, because she has pit in her, and she would be destroyed, Linda thought she was too nice of a dog to do that. Linda released the lost dog back into my care, so I could find her a home. We took her to the vet last Monday to make sure she was not pregnant--she's not, and we got her up to date with her rabies vac.

Chapter 111--She (I've named her Maggie) has been with me for a week and she already knows her name, is housebroken and listens very well. She is 47.5 #'s, brindle body, white chest and head, and a brindle patch over one eye. She gets along with my dog (a lab named Kody)and she got along with a 5 month old puppy i just dogsat. She playfully chases the cat, but if I call her, she comes to me immediately. She is a little underweight, either because she was a stray for awhile, or just wasn't cared for in the first place (ya think) and is starting to put a little weight on. She is a really pretty dog, with a big beautiful head. I would love to find this girl a loving home, with someone who is willing to let her be part of the family. I will keep her until I find her just that. I am asking an adoption fee of the vet bill ($35.00) which includes a rabie shot that would be transferred to the new owner. The new owner would have to agree to get her spayed, because I dont want her to be bred, due to the fact that there are a lot of breeds like this that are just destroyed. The good points about Maggie are, she is a loving, sweet, and she has warmed up to me in just a short time, and with time, could be a perfect dog.

She is a jumper. She got out of my yard by jumping my fence. I have an 8 foot privacy fence, but in one corner it is raised up 4 foot, and I think thats where she escaped. When I call her, she comes immediately. When I took her to the vet, she was one of the best behaved dogs there, and everyone was petting her, and she didn't mind one bit. I dont know how she is with childen. So to wrap up this novel, I would just like to find this girl a great home with someone who will give her the chance she deserves. I will keep her until I find that perfect person. The first cat is named Storm. She's 1 year old, and she's very shy but lovable. She is black with orange/caramel color splotches and caramel colored eyes.

The other is an orange striped cat named Costello. Costello is definitely a lover, but he sheds a bit. He is 2 years old.

Both have shots/both are fixed
