I have a Guyana Red-Tailed Boa that I can no longer keep...

Im moving out of state on the 2nd of January and she needs to be gone before I do! Please take her off my hands!

In recollestion I have no contact with family and I dont have any friends out here yet.

My times goes to my job from the early morning to about 9 am



So that means when i come home, i do nothing but sit watching a few tv channels
or layin in bed.

I want a pet to spend time with and be able to take it with me if need be.

some pets i am considering ( i have had expierience with them) are:

- puppies

- kittens

- Sugarglider

- baby fox (i cant find anymore D: )

Not too big of a selection really, just anything mostly small.

Prefer a pet that doesnt shed much and can be easily trained and not too loud.


Please help me out, im willing to pay up to:

I rescue and adopt chinchillas and try to find homes for them!
This week week we have a standard male with TOV (touch of velvet) fur. He is a high quality chin with good genetics, VERY friendly and with enough patience and love will bond strongly with you. Has been hand trained and is very accustomed to human interaction. So this chinchilla needs to be in a home were he will get a lot of attention and exercise!! Super loving and gentle. NO medical issues currently or in the past, he is healthy. Remember chinchillas can live up to 25 years so be prepared for the commitment that it takes. If there is ever a problem down the road, even years later I will take the chinchilla back, no hesitation or judgments. I just want to give people the option because life things come up and sometimes the animal needs a new home.
Chinchillas are the greatest little animals and make wonderful companions with lots of love, care, and patience.

If you have a Chinchilla that you can no longer care for please contact me and I should be able to take care of it. I receive chins from all sorts of people who cannot care for them anymore or from breeders that have been shut down and help to rehabilitate them and find new homes, I do it out of love for this species.

I am NOT a breeder. I don't sell baby Chinchillas.

1: I ONLY ADOPT TO SERIOUS ADOPTERS.

If you want to adopt from me you must read all of the information here and be fully informed about the care that chinchillas need. If you cannot show that you are serious about properly caring for the chinchillas I will not give you a chinchilla.

I will no longer adopt to people who show up with no knowledge of how to care for chinchillas. I do not profit and I want these animals to go to loving homes.

If the adoption doesn't work out you are welcome to bring the chin back to me at any time.

2: YOU MUST BRING A CARRIER WITH YOU

A carrier is important to be able to bring a chinchilla from place to place. Cardboard boxes aren't acceptable. A proper carrying cage is essential.

3: A SAFE HOME MUST BE PROVIDED FOR

Chinchillas are not like dogs or cats where you can just adopt them without knowing anything about the animal.

In summer weather you must have air conditioning in your car and a cool home. Chinchillas have extremely dense fur and if they get too hot they can die of heat stroke. Keeping these animals cool is essential to their well being.

In winter weather you must keep them warm and not leave them in a cold place like a garage or outside because they WILL freeze to death.

Please be aware of the changes you need to make depending on the seasons & climate.

4: CHINCHILLAS HAVE A SPECIAL DIET AND CAGE REQUIREMENTS

Chinchillas must have a large enough cage to properly support them. A chinchilla in a small cage will be unhappy and will not thrive.

Chinchillas must have special dust baths in order to clean their fur.

Chinchillas must have a special premium quality food and treats and chews to live long healthy lives.

5: CHINCHILLAS ARE NOT LIKE DOGS AND CATS

They are spirited little animals that cannot be broken and house trained as easily as a regular pet. They have extremely long memories so if you mistreat them it will be hard to gain their trust again, but if you treat them with respect, they will love you for a lifetime!

6: THERE IS AN ADOPTION FEE OF $70

This is a re-homing fee so you will get some supplies for your chinchilla. I will provide some food, dust, wood chews, and treats to start the chinchilla off at his new home!

7: PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS

You don't have to be a chinchilla expert to adopt from me, but you DO have to be dedicated to learning about how to care for your new pet. I am happy to answer any questions about how to take care of these wonderful companions. I will also be happy to remain in contact with you if you need more information about chinchilla care after you have brought your little friend home.

This dog is precious. She will entertain you, love you with all her heart and soul, and give you wonderful companionship.

She is about 50 to 55 pounds, with Brittany Spaniel coloring, cute freckles on her nose, and a very sweet face. She has short hair as opposed to the fluffier Brittany Spaniel.

I saw my pug on a cross-post from St. Louis and drove there to get him..... my brussels griffon mix was in Chicago living with a lady who didn't realize that puppies have to go potty A LOT and she lived in a skyrise..... and the kittens were feral rescues that a good samaritan rescued.

Now they are living with me in Northwest Indiana on a small farm on 3 acres and are living the GOOD LIFE!!! Just wanted to say how thankful I am for CL (my animals are thankful, too)!!!

I adopted a dog from a high kill shelter. I did not sign paperwork or anything, just paid and went. The dog was listed as being dog and cat friendly, very sweet, scare, and submissive. She seemed that way at first for sure.

She was so scared at first she wouldn't walk. She took to me right away and follows me everywhere. However, she's gotten increasingly territorial about me, especially with my other dog, the dog I pet-sit, and my cat. Yesterday, the cat jumped on my lap and she lunged at him (and toward my face), and I really think she wanted to kill him. I ended up with claw marks from the cat all over my face.

I think the she would be the same with small children, and she growls and barks at anyone who walks in. She doesn't stop either.

The thing that worries me is she really shows no major warning signs. No raised hackles or anything, just looks mildly interested, then snaps and lunges.

I have two rescue cats, an adopted dog, and I have kids, friends, and dogs coming in and out often. I really don't know what to do short of putting this dog to sleep because she is so territorial. I am scared to death of her mood swings, and that she might hurt someone. I am not one to take this lightly and I cried myself to sleep yesterday because she is a sweet dog to me when one on one, she's very loyal, obedient, housebroken, and gentle, and she was abused at her prior home (at least the shelter said so).

I do not want her put to sleep and I am hoping maybe someone will want to give her a new home where she will be an only pet and there are no children around. She is fine outside with kids and dogs, just inside in her territory. I don't know about a yard, because I don't have one. She is quiet and would love to sleep on your bed. I really am endeared to this dog and don't want to euthanize her, but know that any shelter I take her to will do the same, and she was terrified in a shelter, and I don't want her to die alone and afraid. This is my last resort.

She seems to be part Finnish spitz and part bully breed (maybe boxer or pit?). She is 3 years old, and is yellow with white socks and belly markings. She has adorable ears and beautiful big brown eyes. She is about 40 lbs and rather skinny right now.

She would come with her bed, vet records, collar, leash, and eating mat to keep the floor clean. I am asking that you make a donation of $80 to the animal society of your choice so that she does not end up getting used for anything bad. I am asking for an adoption contract to be signed, and that I be able to see where she will live, and maybe visit once or twice after she has been adopted. I know this sounds like a lot, but she's been through so much, and I don't know what else to do.

About the cats: Both are boys (brothers), bout 5 years old (I think?), furry, one is white and the other is a very light brown. They are very cute, cuddly, affectionate, calm, and love to eat. My roommate said that they are fixed and have had all their shots and whatnot. They are also declawed. They'd be good for someone who can give them lots of love and attention. I'm not asking for a fee and you can take everything that I have of theirs: food and food bowls, cat treats, litter and box liners, toys, brush and comb, cat carriers.

- I'm sorry to say that I cannot give up the cage that they are in right now, so you would have to have your own housing, but you can find cages on CL for fairly cheap.
- Pet carrier. I would prefer it but I think I have a box or two for the transport home.

For a re-homing fee of $35 (in hopes they do not become snake/ people food), the piggies will come with:
- Enough Timothy hay to last for a couple of days until you get them settled in and purchase your own.
- A water bottle.
- A corner littler pan.
- what ever guinea pig food I have left over
- and if you decide to pick them up before the first week of January, then also a fresh grocery bag full of greens, maybe more of curly parsley, some flat, and traces of spinach and romaine.i

Byron is a young Scottish Terrier mix who has an interesting past, we're sure, we just don't know exactly what it is. He is missing a circle of hair on the top of his head that appears to be scar tissue from a previous injury. Chances are, the hair will never grow back but we think Byron is pretty cute even minus the hair. Byron intially came to ACL from another shelter who had taken him in as a stray. He is housebroken and gets along well with most other small dogs. Delia is an approximately one year old beagle who was abandoned at the shelter by her owner. She has not had the best start in life and is nervous being handled and hugged. Because of this, we think she would do best in a home with adults or kids over 16 years old. She needs a committed owner who will help her learn to trust people and gain some confidence by teaching her manners and some obedience skills. Darla is a very sweet and cute little beagle/terrier mix who is approximately 1 year old. She is action-packed and is going to need a special home. This girl can climb chainlink fences in a heartbeat, jump 6 feet from a standing position and run the speed of deer. She has had no training and needs both obedience and housebreaking. Darla likes some small dogs but appears not to like big dogs. Darla came to ACL from a rural auction where she was purchased by an attendee for $1. This more than likely explains the lack of training and panicked feelings Darla sometimes gets when she's left alone. Darla also tends to bark alot when she is alone, so probably not an appropriate dog for someone living in an apartment. Roxy is a 3-4 year old yellow lab mix who came to ACL as a transfer from another shelter. It appears that she didn't have any training in her previous home so she is definitely going to need an owner who can devote a fair amount of time to her initially. She is also going to need some housetraining and an owner who leads an active life. Ginny gets along well with other dogs who aren't too wild and crazy.
