This bill is about 1/6 of the American economy, plus or minus a little. Any bill that big, almost 2000 pages, should have the support of the American people. It should be bipartisan. They dismissed everything that the Republicans tried to do. Polls are increasingly showing public distrust of the bill and opposition to it. Now add in the fact that they have been trying to jam this down our throats and are still trying to jam this bill down our collective throats as quick as they can before enough opposition develops.
Now lets look at the American people. For arguments sake let's say that Obama got 55% and McCain 45% of the vote. Obama won and he also got the House and Senate. But remember, he only got 55% of those that voted. What were the percentages of those that were registered that voted? Let's say 70% and that is a high estimate. Then there are all of those that didn't register. What this amounts to is a win for Obama, but not a landslide and not a mandate to jam anything down our collective throats. Most Americans did in fact not vote for Obama.
Now lets just say that the number 45% that voted against Obama hasn't changed. That is still 45% of Americans that oppose him. That is a lot of our fellow Americans that don't approve of these far left Liberal policies that are being rushed forward. I think that they deserve to have their interests better represented. To me, that means on a bill of this magnitude, that Congress should have at least 75% Aye votes to pass this bill, or send it back for a rework until it more represents the will of the American People. That is you and me. If not, they are just screwing you and your friends and neighbors.
And all of you Liberals and Democrats, take time to think about this. If the shoe was on the other foot, and it might be real soon, wouldn't you like to have your side heard and represented.

DETROIT — Federal authorities on Wednesday arrested several members of a radical Sunni Islam group in the U.S., killing one of its leaders at a shootout in a Michigan warehouse, the U.S. attorney's office said.
In the 43-paged complaint unsealed Wednesday, the FBI said Abdullah, also known as Christopher Thomas, was an imam, or prayer leader, of a radical group named Ummah whose primary mission is to establish an Islamic state within the United States.

* The American Medical Association (AMA) was facing a 21 percent cut in physicians' reimbursements under the current law. Obama promised to kill the cut if they backed his bill. The cuts are the fruit of a law requiring annual 5-6 percent reductions in doctor reimbursements for treating Medicare patients. Bravely, each year Congress has rolled the cuts over, suspending them but not repealing them. So each year, the accumulated cuts threaten doctors. By now, they have risen to 21 percent. With this blackmail leverage, Obama compelled the AMA to support his bill...or else!
* The AARP got a financial windfall in return for its support of the healthcare bill. Over the past decade, the AARP has morphed from an advocacy group to an insurance company (through its subsidiary company). It is one of the main suppliers of Medi-gap insurance, a high-cost, privately purchased coverage that picks up where Medicare leaves off. But President Bush-43 passed the Medicare Advantage program, which offered a subsidized, lower-cost alternative to Medi-gap. Under Medicare Advantage, the elderly get all the extra coverage they need plus coordinated, well-managed care, usually by the same physician. So more than 10 million seniors went with Medicare Advantage, cutting into AARP Medi-gap revenues.
Presto! Obama solved their problem. He eliminates subsidies for Medicare Advantage. The elderly will have to pay more for coverage under Medigap, but the AARP -- which supposedly represents them -- will make more money. * The drug industry backed ObamaCare and, in return, got a 10-year limit of $80 billion on cuts in prescription drug costs. (A drop in the bucket of their almost $3 trillion projected cost over the next decade.) They also got administration assurances that it will continue to bar lower-cost Canadian drugs from coming into the U.S. All it had to do was put its formidable advertising budget at the disposal of the administration.
* Insurance companies got access to 40 million potential new customers. But when the Senate Finance Committee lowered the fine that would be imposed on those who don't buy insurance from $3,500 to $1,500, the insurance companies jumped ship and now oppose the bill, albeit for the worst of motives.
The only industry that refused to knuckle under was the medical device makers. They stood for principle and wouldn't go along with Obama's blackmail. So the Senate Finance Committee retaliated by imposing a tax on medical devices such as automated wheelchairs, pacemakers, arterial stents, prosthetic limbs, artificial knees and hips and other necessary accoutrements of healthcare.
So these endorsements are not freely given, but bought and paid for by an administration that is intent on passing its program at any cost.

Finally, the one Social Security number Obama most frequently used, the one beginning with 042, is a number issued in Connecticut sometime during 1976-1977, yet there is no record of Obama ever living or working in Connecticut. Indeed, during this time period Obama would have been 15-16 years old and living in Hawaii at the time.

Somehow we suspect FedEx charged WND a lot less than $89.45 each to overnight those envelopes to Washington -- meaning that WND has turned its hatred of Obama into a profit center.)
