I design and develop websites, do photographray, and am a singer/songwriter, so I travel A LOT! I am coming back to Chicago for the Month of January. I am booked to perform @ The U.S Beer Co. on Jan 15th, in Milwaukee on the 24th, and at Uncommon Ground on the 31st of January. I am an India Arie / Sarah Mclachlan type songwriter, so I'm not loud or offensive. I sing mostly about love, growth, spirtuality, etc. I am NOT a fan of the cold, so I will be cutting out as soon as I unplug from my last gig.
I have a car in Chicago so I would either need to stay in a neighborhood where parking is not a problem, or I would need to live within a few blocks of a CTA train, and I can just keep my car at my parents place in Wisconsin. I use to live in Chicago. Lakview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square and Rogers Park are neighborhoods I've previously lived in. I lived on Montrose just west of the Montrose Redline Stop. THIS IS THE CLOSEST I'D LIKE TO COME TO DANGER. Meaning, I'm not familiar with places like Hyde Park, The "WEST SIDE" or "South Side" and don't see any need to start exploring now.

As I have mentioned in my title, I am looking into something for January and more than likely February because I am trying to save up enough money to get my own place. A room would be great; preferably furnished but if its not then it's okay. I do have a full-sized bed that would be trotting along with me.
Currently, I reside on the south side of Chicago so I am looking for something in that area BUT I am open to other locations as well. As long as it's in the city because I work downtown. I look the southside area and am very interested in staying there. However, as I have mentioned I am open.
