I graduated from the University of North Carolina in May and just finished up a six-month internship in Chicago! I was lucky enough to be offered a full-time gig, but my current lease is almost up. I have been living in a studio, but I would very much like to have a roommate as I start my new job. I get too lonely if I live by myself, but I am far from clingy. I just like knowing that I'm not going home to a completely empty apartment. I work in the Aon Center downtown, and I would like to live fairly close to the Loop. I love Lakeview/Wrigleyville area, but I am pretty flexible so long as it doesn't take too long to get downtown.

I am a serious professional, but I love to have fun, too! I am pretty active, I run most days that I can, and I like to be out and about. I honestly don't like to get drunk a lot, but I do love to go out with friends and have a drink or two. And I am not opposed to anyone who does drink, but would prefer not to have a lot of crazy drinking in the apartment. I am a fairly neat person, and I love to cook (and share!) most days of the week. I'm a pretty relaxed and laid back person, but I must warn you that I am incredibly bubbly and fun! My pets have lived with other pets many times and get along well with other pets. My dog plays really cute with one of the cats at my current place. I have my masters in social work. I work with traumatized kids in Addison. I work Sun-Wed. Most of my shifts are 2pm-11pm, sundays i work 9am-11pm. I don't smoke cigarettes, I am 420 friendly. I like going to concerts, museums, art, movies. I'm a vegetarian. I'm easy going, just please don't eat my food, veggie food is expensive and if you eat meat its not like I get to eat your food too. I like common areas to be clean -- could care less about your room as long as I'm not seeing bugs or smelling horrific odors. I have no pets, but am very pet friendly. My current roommate has a beautiful malamute & a cool cat who get along great. I smoke, but if that's an issue, I can do so outside. I need to slow down or quit anyway. I rarely drink, and am not an ass when I do...

Um, what else? I am very, very tall, so if you live in a place with low ceilings or have a tiny room to offer, it probably isn't going to work out. I don't need a huge room, but I do need a little space for my stuff. Speaking of which, I have some stuff, but almost all of it would be going in my room. I have a full size bed, a small computer desk, a dresser, and a couple of small storage cabinets that I can carry with one hand...not a lot at all. My current room is 11'x8', and I get it all in here & my closet nicely.

Don't watch or own a t.v., so I'm not keen on paying for anything but internet.Looking to pay no more than $400 per month, maybe as high as $450 or so with utilities. My ultimate goal living in Chicago is to be able to walk no more than 1-2 blocks to an El stop, have a bus right outside the front door, movie theaters within a five minute walk, steps to Whole Foods, and a short walk into the major part of downtown (well during the warmer months of course!) and a nice rooftop deck. Hey now, one can dream big right? Actually what I have learned in the past couple of months as I had a little sublet (since Sept., which ends this month), is that being one block away from a major CTA route and grocery store of some kind is a wonderful thing, and within about 15-20 minutes train ride to downtown is really nice. I've been living off Chicago & Damen, and while I would actually love to be even a little closer to downtown, I am open to anywhere along a major bus route/El stop, my needs are simple, I am appreciative and grateful just to be here.

26 year old working straight male professional. I work up in the the NW burbs doing international transportation. I like to be as active as I can. I have no communal furniture, but I don't mind pitching in for some if necessary, and I can contribute: some kitchen stuff; a few scratchy Dylan records; a chunky, sweet-natured cat (for whose care & litter I take full responsibility); some minor appliances I can bring or leave at my brothers' house (TV, convection oven, rowing machine [haha - no, really] turntable, sewing machine, ice cream maker); and a dinky but functional darkroom setup. I'm optimistic; chill (if not a bit on the quiet side); friendly, and just love people; a direct communicator; and the big sister of a ton of brothers (who are cool and visit sometimes - we get along really well), so I know how to live with others and roll with the punches. In fact, I prefer to live with other people. I'm (mostly) past hardcore partying, especially during the week, but am absolutely easy going on the weekends or with the occasional, advanced-notice Tuesday night bash.
