Pearl white Altair, but with a gray �81 gas tank, or a white one with goofy scroll pinstriping on top. Not a perfect bike, but a good rider or restorer. Needs paint. $3700.

1978 Honda CB750Four/K in very nice condition. It needed a tuneup and carb clean three years ago so I took it into a local shop. They just never got to it til this past Summer. They put new handlebars on it and sand-blasted the 4:1 exhaust and high-temp painted it. They did a few other things before they even ran the engine. Well, because it had sat so long without even being turned over, apparently one or more valves seized. So It'd either need a rebuilt head or a valve job. Well, instead, I bought a low-mileage '78 750K on eBay for its 6000 mile engine (still have the original owner title). Mine has 24,000 or so miles on it. The options are, take all of the good body parts off mine and put them on the 6000 mile bike, or pull the engine out of that one and put it in mine. That's all it/they need. I saw a very nice '78 just like mine (burgundy tank) go for $3500 on eBay this Fall. I spent $400 on the 6000 mile one just for the engine. $1500 for both.

1978 Yamaha DT400 enduro. Less than 800 original miles. Original Illinois title. Basement-stored. Gets ridden twice a year for the last fifteen years. Not perfect, but if I get no takers quick, I�m going to spring for the OEM paint/decals/recover seat route, and it�ll sell for $1800 or so [March, 2008: One with more mileage sold for $2150 on ebay].
