Electrical Engineer
As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering energy efficient lighting and control systems for existing facilities as well as determining existing and proposed lighting electrical loads and usage. Additionally, you will develop turnkey project costs for new lighting systems, coordinate flow of work within or between sales and engineering in order to expedite processes, as well as perform the following duties:
• Oversees all phases and processes associated with Sales and Engineering
• Interacts with Sales/Engineering team to ensure smooth and accurate handing documents to the Operations Department
• Assists with inputting data from Sales/Engineering team accurately into Excel spreadsheet
• Audit and surveys buildings to collect data on the existing lighting systems
• Assembles submittal documents and “Operations and Equipment Manual” as required
• Coordinates proposal process, secures quotes for costs and materials and ensures submittals are on schedule
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products and systems for commercial, industrial and domestic purposes
• Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and determines methods, procedures and conditions for testing products
• Develops applications of controls, instruments and systems for new commercial, domestic and industrial uses
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• New or recent grads are encouraged to apply!
• Comfortable presenting in front of others is a must
• Knowledge of MS Office, Internet software, Project Management software, AutoCAD Design, Engineering Blueprints, File Maker Pro
• High proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Must be comfortable with up to 25% travel
• Must be able to pass a full background check, including MVR
