I don’t really want to narrow it down to one exact type of genre as long as the root is rock. It would be cool to through in some curve balls like a reggae type of song or an r&b driven song and then follow it up with a heavy, rock, groove, borderline metal song. I want people to dance. As long as the show is full of energy and the crowed has a great time. I want to make songs that have a positive view on life. So many songs these days capture the dark and evil part of the world and there is so much more to life than then just the darkness and misery. It is time to have fun. I want people to come and see us because they had a great time at the show and it made the feel good and alive.

Musically, I would compare what we're doing to Nevermore, King Diamond, Testament, Savatage, Malmsteen and bands like that. Hell, at times there's even a touch of Zepplein and Dream Theater. It's heavy, but still melodic. Also, we're not looking to be one of those bands that throws together a handful of covers so we can get right out there. We have a very strong work ethic and are all more than dedicated. We all have pro-gear (I think I already said that) and would expect the same. And if it helps any, we're collectively ex members of Winterkill, Ravensthorn and Tyrant's Reign. Also, our practice space is in Calumet City.


What we're looking for is a dedicated and experienced drummer who wants to succeed at this. Age is somewhat open as well. You must have pro gear and transportation and the means to help out with rent. Double bass is a must too, and I can't stress that enough. And again, a great work ethic!

Seeking drummer, male or female, young or old (we are not young), backup vocals a plus, electronic kit a double plus. Rehearsals south of Joliet, off I-55, near Braidwood. Gigs in southwestern and south suburbs and we don't believe in too many rehearsals, so don't be afraid to drive a few times and then gig close to where you live.

We are a jam/improv band when playing live. We will create the songs anew each time we play them. Must be a fluid player able to respond as things flow ala Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, Phisch. Looking for Gene Krupa/Buddy Rich/Neil Peart/Keith Moon/John Bonham.

Band will do typical covers (our interpretations of them) but will include originals and work more in that direction over time.

Target clubs will start as far south as South Wilmington (google it, lol) and move up and east (Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Tinley and Orland Parks) into Chicago. Festivals can be anywhere in Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin or NorthWest Indiana. Universities to start would be NIU, ISU, UofI, but not until 2009. There will be low pay and/or no pay promo and charity concerts required, to gain media exposure and increase following.

Original music is 'a Rock of Many Colors', mostly hard rock, harder blues rock (SRV using Metallica's rig), folk rock, folk, some ballads, some country, yes some hip/hop, dance/trance stuff.

I have been playing for 13 years, have professional gear, including all maple drums with a mounting rack. an electronic set for samples and recording. a full set of 'actual' drum mics' to hop in the studio or plug in live. I prefer to play with click tracks so that everything sounds professional. I currently live in crest hill next to joliet, my lease is up in 2 months and will be moving closer to the city. i love both styles, they are very influential to me and hope to get something started. p.s. 420 friendly is cool too.

im 18, ive been playing for 4 years. i have good gear, transportation, and 100% dedicated to doing this for life

i love a whole bunch of different bands, sounds, genres, etc.
my favorite players: Les Claypool, John Paul Jones, Tim Commerford, Matt Sharp, MCA, John Entwistle, Kim Deal, Justin Chancellor

im really laid back and easy to get along with, i really like writing songs and improvising and all that stuff, i can sing a little bit of background vocals but cant do lead vocals

wont play anything country, emo, "chill," or any kind of death/black/speed metal. im kind of looking for something new to jam on, creating a new sound, not recycling the same old formula and claiming to be "different"

I have a new imac, keyboard, mbox with protools, mic...and willing to purchase more.
I realized this week how I don't have the patience to use it though. I want to throw everything out the window. I had someone from Guitar Center help me set up Protools and that took 2 hours with his help...augh
Yesterday it took me two hours to figure out how to record vocals on Garage Band using an external mic through the mbox.
So after that, my mind is not in the mood for writing anymore because all I feel is frustration and not creation.
My goal is to find someone that can help me with recording and also work on material together. Maybe this would be two different people. One who writes and one into the technical aspects or recording. My benefit is obvious, yours would be to be able to use the equipment to record your own material also. You don't have to be an 'expert', but just willing to learn how to use the equipment. Be willing to experiment and not throw the computer out the window when it doesn't do what you want it to do. Be good at trouble-shooting and finding solutions.
I have so many questions I don't know where to start. I'm not sure how to put good effects on vocals, or if there is a good effects program that would work with garage band and.......
I love writing lyrics and melodies and would love to find someone that could write the music. I can play the keyboard slightly, but figured that I would rely on loops to write my songs.
I would hope that we would develop a friendship where you would feel comfortable using my equipment even if I were busy doing something around the house.
