Brennan Equipment and Manufacturing, Inc., maker of the "Little Giant" brand of material handling products, is seeking a Human Resource/Payroll Administrator to join our expanding organization, located in the South Suburbs of Chicago.

• Human Resource education, training, certification, or five years of Human Resource experience.
• Ability to move throughout the facility and handle 25 pounds.
• Aptitude to attain proficient use of systems such as Paylocity and DBA/EVO software.
• Experience in payroll, benefits, and maintaining personnel files.
• History of time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently, and complete deadlines.
• Knowledge of company compliance with all federal, state, and local labor and employment law requirements.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and email.
• Skills in professional communication, both written and verbal.

• Assist with company compliance issues related, but not limited to, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), workers' compensation, and employment tax laws.
• Audit and reconcile payroll on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis. Verify tax reports and deposits for accuracy.
• Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures, maintain policies in the employee information handbook, and assist in the writing of job descriptions.
• Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, including tracking and disposition of proper notices.
• Monitor and track employee performance reviews and wage increases.
• Oversee attendance records and personal files for all employees. Monitor attendance and supervisor warnings and prepare corrective actions as needed. Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Participate in planning and implementing company wellness initiatives, events, training, and policies that foster employee satisfaction and morale.
• Review benefit plan enrollment forms, change reporting, approve invoices for payment, assist with the annual benefits insurance bid process, and facilitate improvement measures.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and Temp Agencies to recruit, interview, and process proper documentation related to temp workers. Review attendance, work performance, and supervisor feedback to determine temp-to-hire eligibility.
• Work with the Plant Manager to oversee training and safety programs in compliance with government regulation. Record, report, and investigate work related injuries for our Worker's Compensation Insurance.
