Instrument Associates (www.instrumentassociates.com) seeks experienced and highly qualified Outside Sales Representatives with experience in Instrumentation, Process Control, and/or Industrial Distribution fields to cover our North Suburban and Northeastern Illinois territories. As a leader in the Instrumentation and Industrial Distribution Field, Instrument Associates provides manufacturing, fabrication, and distribution services to clients throughout Northern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana and offers a complete line of Instrumentation, Filtration, Piping, Process Control, and many other industrial products. The ideal candidate for the Outside Sales Rep position will possess knowledge within one of these fields; he or she will report directly to the Sales Manager and will work with an Inside Salesperson to cover designated territories.

To the qualified applicant we offer:
Base in the $35,000 $45,000 range plus commission, with potential earnings of $75,000 +

Responsibilities:
Call on potential and existing customers (an average of 5 per day) to develop new business and manage current accounts
Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to develop appropriate selling solutions
Prospect new clients
Follow up on quotes
Same-day travel to client and vendor sites
Requirements:
College degree preferred but not required
Experience selling industrial process automation and/or technical products required
Excellent communication skills
Ability to understand and explain technical concepts
Proven ability to close sales
Drive to make money and be successful in the sales role
