The Visiting Research Programmer will provide technical support to the NCSA and TeraGrid high performance user community via the National Consulting Office. This includes but is not limited to providing prompt response to users’ problems and needs, writing online documentation and technical articles, and collaborating with researchers in academia and industry on computational projects.<br>

Required Education, Training and Experience:  <br>
•	BA/BS degree in computational/computer science, engineering or related field required (advanced degree preferred).  Alternative degree fields will be considered/accepted if accompanied by equivalent experience (depending on nature and depth of experience as it relates to current NCSA technologies).<br>
•	Proficiency w/ various HPC languages and parallel computing (MPI, OpenMP, etc)<br>
•	Knowledge of advanced computer architectures, optimizing compilers, and performance analysis tools<br>
•	Basic background in numerical computation, working knowledge of script languages and advanced computing skills in UNIX operating system required<br>
•	1-2 years of experience in scientific programming required (3 years preferred)<br>

Preferred Experience:<br>
•	Experience in technical user support with an interest and commitment to helping other users be as productive as possible<br>
•	Experience using high-performance computers to solve large-scale science problems and running highly parallel programs<br>

Job description<br>
The main objective of the Beocare supporter will be to support and develop the competence and quality level of our authorised Bang & Olufsen service distribution and dealers in North and South America.<br>
The Beocare supporter has the responsibility for motivating, and support strategic partners in the service and retail distribution. Together with the individual partner - backed up by an international team of dedicated colleagues - the distribution always have access to support and knowledge<br>

Job duties:<br>
<br>
•	Provide technical support via the phone and email to our network of authorised Dealers, Service technicians, Installers, and Customers <br>
•	Provide repair help to our technicians on in-home and bench repairs, on module and component level <br>
•	Setup and trouble shoot Bang &Olufsen AV systems and integrated 3rd party solutions<br>
•	Provide support of Bang &Olufsen installation and our new digital distribution network<br>
•	Compile qualified and adequate answers, which comply with the dealers or technicians expectations <br>
•	Handle warranty- and fairness questions <br>
•	Responsible to give feedback via call center software and learning loop <br>
•	The role will involve constantly updating owns knowledge via the many databases available, regular training via our on line training facility and attendance of training courses. <br>

Development networks<br>
The Beocare supporter will establish networking groups where retailers and partners in the service distribution discuss and deal with current and long term issues, new methods of improving customer satisfaction and sales. <br>

The Beocare supporter will participate in Networking with the global Beocare supporters where they share “best practice” and get learning.<br>
Once a year all supporter will participate in a seminar in Denmark where they will develop the Beocare support further.<br>
Employment<br>

The Beocare supporter will report to the Director of After Sales Service and be a member of a Global support team.<br>
<br>
The employment of the Beocare supporter will be based out of our Regional office for North and South America in Arlington Heights, IL.<br>

Some travel activity should be expected.<br>

Qualifications	<br>
We are looking for a performance driven, outgoing individual who thrives in both team oriented and independent work atmospheres. Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills in English. <br>

The position requires excellent trouble shooting skills, a degree in related field or experience with repairs and installation of consumer electronic and after sales ser-vice of audio and video equipment.<br>
The position requires excellent IT skills to be able to support the new digital world that B&O are entering. <br>
The position requires a person who is service minded and know what “sense of urgency” means for the customer.<br>

Position Responsibilities:<br>
•	Required to learn and have a solid understanding of the company’s products used by customers.<br>
•	Provide technical support to customers in regard to function, error reporting, and installation of proprietary software via telephone and email.<br>
•	Documents all customer interaction in the Support Call Tracking application including details of problems reported, research and testing of issues reported, and contributing to knowledge base growth.<br>

Job Experience and Required Skills<br>

The Blue Waters project provides high-performance computational and storage facilities, as well as intellectual resources, which enable computational science of scale.  When Blue Waters goes into production in mid-2011, it will be a world-leading platform for accelerating open scientific discovery through computation by some of the world's most advanced teams dealing with unique, unprecedented computational science problems.  The Sr. Research Programmers will provide general and specialized technical expertise and support to the Blue Waters project, which may include, but is not limited to, the Applications and User Support Group, the Computational Libraries Group, or other groups engaged with the science and engineering teams using Blue Waters or providing software tools and infrastructure for Blue Waters.</p><img src="http://www.jobtarget.com/c/includes/jvimg.cfm?site=2416&amp;job=6137267"><p><strong>Required Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li> BA/BS degree (advanced degree highly preferred) in engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, or related field. <description><![CDATA[Our company has been awarded a nationwide contract to perform a simple technical procedure to Thousands of Medical Devices located in Hospitals, Clinics, and various other Medical Facilities. We are seeking experienced and recent Bio-Med Tech grads to work in and around the larger Metro Regions. For example, if you are retained to work in Chicago, that may include coverage of a 100 mile radius. <br>
<br>
The task itself is relatively simple but requires a resource that understands the challenges and is trained to work in a medical environment.  The position will be as an Independent Contractor as the project is temporary. It is expected that the project will last between 9-12 months. Each resource will be paid by the hour and we will also reimburse for any authorized travel expenses.<br>
The equipment required to perform the tasks will be company provided and assigned to each Tech. Here are the expectations we have for qualified candidates:<br>

~ Must have some qualified and verifiable experience as a Bio-Med Technician.<br>
~ Must be available to start within 2-4 weeks.<br>
~ Must be bondable, able to pass a comprehensive background check including criminal, and drug. <br>

~ Must be comfortable working in a hospital or medical environment.<br>

Assignments will be Monday through Friday and the facilities you are dispatched to could have several units to 1,500 units to be corrected. So, you may be dispatched at a specific location from 1 day to a couple of weeks. Techs will check in with us upon arrival each day and upon departure each day. Completion logs will also be kept and transmitted each day documenting progress. Candidates will work as part of a larger crew including some employees of the customer.<br>

Paylocity is seeking a <b>Technical Support Specialist </b>to work directly with our clients on their payroll and software support needs.  If you are technically savvy, like working with customers, enjoy math and have the aptitude to learn payroll, this might be the position for you!<p>

Under general supervision, the Technical Support Specialist provides telephone support to clients who contact Paylocity concerning payroll practices, software operations and other technical and non-technical issues. <p>

<ul><b>Performance Objectives:</b>

<li>Responsible for responding to all ITS, emails and calls from clients regarding maintenance or problems with both our web-based WebPay product and PC-based Millennium product. </li>
<li>Responsible for responding to all IT and calls from internal departments (implementation, custom programming, client relations and sales) regarding clients’ technical issues ranging from database problems, software installation problems, server problems and reporting. </li>
<li>Support our client base that uses an Excel time and labor spreadsheet to import into both WebPay and Millennium. </li>
<li>Support our production department with the ability to troubleshoot clients’ payroll processing errors that arise through our back-end systems. </li>
<li>Exercise good judgment in determining work and problem resolution priorities and approaches. </li>
<li>Meet departmental service level agreements (ITS 2-3 days; emails 2-4 hours) </li></ul><p>
 
<b><ul>Required Experience: </b>

<li>Minimum three years experience in customer service or client interfacing role, preferably in a call-center environment </li>
<li>Experience in a service industry required; experience in a payroll service bureau desirable </li>
<li>Experience in a help desk environment or software support highly desirable!! </li>
<li>Strong customer service orientation  </li>
<li>Strong problem-solving orientation  </li>
<li>Technical knowledge or technical aptitude  </li>

Lyric Opera of Chicago seeks a highly motivated individual who would benefit from practical business experience in the field of Information Systems, and enjoy helping others solve technology operating problems.   <br>
<br>
Duties and Responsibilities<br>
•Perform installation of required hardware/software throughout the organization, and assist users with basic orientation and training for optimum deployment.<br>
•Act as IS team representative for intake of user assistance requests.  Interface with users via telephone or in person to identify, research, and diagnose problems.  Implement appropriate steps to resolve issues or engage other internal/external technical staff to assist, as needed.<br>
•Maintain detailed log of open/solved problems, and create /update appropriate problem-management database or help desk systems to serve as a resource for technical and non-tech staff to use for future problem solving.<br>
<br>
Knowledge and Skills<br>
•1 – 2 years of B.S. level education in Information Systems, or a related technology oriented discipline;  “expert user” skills in MS-Office, Windows Vista and XP.<br>
•Solid general knowledge of hardware and peripheral operations and maintenance, including  PCs, HP LaserJet printers and Microsoft networks.<br>
•Good oral/written, documentation, and user service skills.<br>
•Ability to lift and move 30+ pounds on a routine basis.<br>
