In ACCOUNTING, specifically, we seek an accountant with bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll experience. Experience managing an accounting department is a definite plus. Primary responsibilities include: collecting aging funds, settling accounts on time, computing payroll/commissions, balancing the books, and closing the month/year. The successful applicant will be a master of organization, time management, multitasking, and responsibility. Integrity, customer service skills, and an ability to maintain confidential information are also important. The Accountant collaborates with in-house sales managers and dispatchers, as well as the CEO; however, most work is done independently and requires good communication with both carriers and customers.
Accounting hours are currently 7-4 M-F, occasional overtime may be required. The Accounting Department is central to the success of our company: managing the books, assisting with marketing, and, at times, serving as to the CEO’s “go to” wo/man. This is the perfect position for someone who likes to “do it all”.

An Accounting degree is not required; but STRONG accounting fundamentals are. This position uses a Unix based accounting system, not QuickBooks. An understanding of the relationship between different types of accounts, credits/debits, etc. is important. [Training on our Accounting software is available.] Experience in the trucking/logistics industry is a plus. Experience in accounting is not necessary, but highly preferred.
