2004 Haro Escape 8.1 Hardtail Blue/Silver - $375 (DeKalb, IL)
For sale is an almost stock 2004 Haro Escape 8.1 Hardtail, 26 inch. For those who don't know, and as you can see by my pictures, hardtails are mountain bikes that have front suspension only. The suspension is adjustable to a small extent, more give or less. The bike is blue and silver, and in good condition. There are very few scratches on the frame and other components. It is a 24 speed bike.
I bought this bike in November of 2006 for $500 w/tax. I am a big guy and I needed a bike other than a BMX bike to ride around town, BMX bikes are too small for me for just riding. I never took this bike out on the trails, which is primarily what it was made for, just rode it on the streets of Sycamore and DeKalb, save for the occasional tine when I had to ride in the dirt. I need to sell it because I now have a car, and two BMX bikes, and that is what I do, I ride BMX. So I no longer have a need for this bike.
I got a brand new crank set in May of 2007, to replace the weaker old one. It is extremely strong, and since I bought the new set I have rarely ridden this bike. I took it out a few times, those few times it got mantinance, so it's lightly used yet still in good shape, not neglected, not left sitting in a garage.
I am open to negotiation. And if you are into military simulation airsoft, I can take a trade for an upgraded AEG or DMR. For a stock gun I can knock off some money. I am primarily looking for money, but yeah, I'm still open to trades.
This is a good bike for riding around town or off road trail riding, and if treated well I'm sure it would last a good long time.
