Chi Tutorsz is looking for an outstanding sales, operations, and business professional with a passion for academic excellence to help grow an existing tutoring program within the Chicago Kids TEK, Inc. family. Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, you will grow operating income through local marketing, sales, staff development, and measurable student academic progress. Area Directors will directly manage and develop a staff of 1-10 part time team members and indirectly manage a staff of 25-150 students. The Area Director will form strong relationships with parents, forge relationships with schools, community leaders, and local businesses as well as inspire the students and tutors to succeed. Compensation will include a competitive hourly rate and al commission plan tied to financial and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow an existing tutoring business to key performance metrics including:
o Sales, revenue, and growth
o Student retention and academic excellence
o Expense management including payroll, inventory, A/R, and A/P
Hire, train, manage, and develop a high quality staff
Ensure aggressive and consistent Marketing and Business Development strategies are in place
Take an active (in some Markets primary) role in the execution of sales, marketing, and promotional programs
Forge relationships with school districts, local schools, families, organizations, and community leaders
Provide enthusiastic, hands-on customer service every day
Ensure all students meet and exceed company benchmarks for academic progress
Oversee operational management of both Center and online programs
Manage the business and all real time customer issues independently at least twenty hours per week.
Requirements:
60+ hours of college coursework
At least 3 years experience in a sales or retail management capacity
Sharp focus on revenue generation opportunities and the bottom line
Demonstrated operational excellence
Entrepreneurial spirit
Passion for impacting the education industry
Ability to confidently drive ongoing sales and new student enrollments
Strong leadership ability, including motivating and developing others
Willingness to get your hands dirty and take a roll up your sleeves approach to the business
Persuasive and enthusiastic personality
Must reside in territory (Cicero, Maywood, Berwyn)
Must speak English and Spanish fluently
Must have reliable transportation
