Too much feasting during the holidays? Need a break from the kitchen and football? Come out to Tekakwitha Woods for a fun naturalist-led walk over the Fox River and through the woods. We’ll will begin at the parking lot of Tekakwitha Woods, wind our way through the woods, cross the Fox River on the bike bridge to reach the Jon Duerr Forest Preserve. Along the way, we’ll look for wildlife and learn about how the natural world prepares for winter. The program will conclude at Tekakwitha Woods Nature Center where families are welcome to warm up and enjoy the hands-on exhibits and displays.
