I am a professional, full-time tutor with eight years experience tutoring math, from elementary school to college level. Calculus is my specialty, but I can and have tutored all lower levels. I have also tutored special-needs students, including autistic students and a blind student.

I am a UIC graduate with a Master's degree in Pure Mathematics. I am working on improving my physics and chemistry skills for those of my students who need extra help.

I took the ACT, SAT, and SAT II over 30 years ago, with math scores in the 99th percentile. My IQ also tested in the 99th percentile. However, I do not let my own abilities get in the way of understanding the struggles that other people have with math. My manner is very down to earth.

My math teaching and tutoring experiences range from gifted to remedial students and everyone in between. I am able to read students' cues, to figure out what they are missing, which allows me to fill in those gaps. READ ABOUT TUTORING RATES:

For all of these tutoring prices, the lessons are AT MY HOME in Naperville near 75th and Washington. Right when you begin, I will give you a policy sheet with much more information about ways to reach me, cancellations, and so forth.

These rates are my normal rates. Inquire to find out if any discounts apply. (Some discount types: savings for clients needing to meet more than one time per week, savings for clients able to meet on a weekday morning such as college or home school students, discounts for referring other clients). Occasionally, I offer a SEVEN hours for the price of SIX.

==== PRIVATE TUTORING: Fee Structure (Fall/Winter 2009/2010)====

Payment for ongoing tutoring is by "six-pack", for six hours of tutoring. Before you make that decision, you get to have a �trial� visit, for $35 for one hour. At the end of that session, I need to know if you are planning to continue. If you need to talk it over, please get back to me with an answer in the next day or two.

Once you start your six-pack, I keep track as we use the time, and I give you a reminder when it is time to pay for the next six-pack. At the end of any six-pack, you can tell me if you do not wish to continue. In the middle of a six-pack, you can stop and get a refund only if the student DROPS THEIR MATH CLASS. Otherwise, you are expected to use or lose the prepaid hours. My tutoring is designed for �just about� every week. If you are looking for someone to do �occasional� tutoring, I am not the right tutor for you.

My hourly rate is $65 per hour for all high school math subjects and many college math subjects. For Calculus, AP Statistics, ACT Test Prep, or SAT Test Prep the charge is $75 per hour.

For unusual arrangements such as semi-private tutoring or home schooling math, ask for a price quote based on your specific situation.

=== A SPECIAL PACKAGE FOR ACT or SAT TEST PREP: ===

Included in this package are several parts (described in detail below): a published ACT or SAT prep book, an initial diagnostic assessment, six hours of ACT or SAT tutoring, and one to two follow up diagnostic assessments. The package price is $500 which is comparable to parts that would add up to $700. So almost all clients choose the package.

ACT (or SAT) Assessment: Price: $100 if purchased outside a package.

Student will be given a practice math test from a published Test Prep book. The student will be given the published Test Prep book to keep as part of this fee. [If a student needs another test analyzed (but does not need to get the book again) then that next assessment fee is $75.] What you get in this service is that the test will be scored and analyzed by me, then student and parents will be given an email report about math areas where the student needs work.

After this assessment, a student will know where to concentrate, and at that point, they may wish to sign up for some private tutoring sessions. Many clients are able to complete their work in one six-pack. Some have chosen to continue for additional sessions if their goal is further from their original score.

Then when practiced with lightness, agility, evenness, and slowness, physical exertion is reduced. As this happens a persons latent and hidden abilities are released. This is internal strength and it will naturally become more powerful. Then as you train in the routine your internal energy will naturally blend with your external movements. As this occurs internal strength continues to increase as does ones ability to store or accumulate, (Not spend energy). The strength is the ability to accumulate.

For all of these tutoring prices, the lessons are AT MY HOME in Naperville near 75th and Washington. Right when you begin, I will give you a policy sheet with much more information about ways to reach me, cancellations, and so forth.

==== PRIVATE TUTORING: Fee Structure (Fall/Winter 2009/2010)====

Payment for ongoing tutoring is by "six-pack", for six hours of tutoring. Before you make that decision, you get to have a �trial� visit, for $35 for one hour. At the end of that session, I need to know if you are planning to continue. If you need to talk it over, please get back to me with an answer in the next day or two.

Once you start your six-pack, I keep track as we use the time, and I give you a reminder when it is time to pay for the next six-pack. At the end of any six-pack, you can tell me if you do not wish to continue. In the middle of a six-pack, you can stop and get a refund only if the student DROPS THEIR MATH CLASS. Otherwise, you are expected to use or lose the prepaid hours. My tutoring is designed for �just about� every week. If you are looking for someone to do �occasional� tutoring, I am not the right tutor for you.

My hourly rate is $65 per hour for all high school math subjects and many college math subjects. For Calculus, AP Statistics, ACT Test Prep, or SAT Test Prep the charge is $75 per hour.

For unusual arrangements such as semi-private tutoring or home schooling math, ask for a price quote based on your specific situation.

Included in this package are several parts (described in detail below): a published ACT or SAT prep book, an initial diagnostic assessment, six hours of ACT or SAT tutoring, and one to two follow up diagnostic assessments. The package price is $500 which is comparable to parts that would add up to $700. So almost all clients choose the package.

ACT (or SAT) Assessment: Price: $100 if purchased outside a package.

Student will be given a practice math test from a published Test Prep book. The student will be given the published Test Prep book to keep as part of this fee. [If a student needs another test analyzed (but does not need to get the book again) then that next assessment fee is $75.] What you get in this service is that the test will be scored and analyzed by me, then student and parents will be given an email report about math areas where the student needs work.

After this assessment, a student will know where to concentrate, and at that point, they may wish to sign up for some private tutoring sessions. Many clients are able to complete their work in one six-pack. Some have chosen to continue for additional sessions if their goal is further from their original score.
