A little about the pup:

Well, "Wrigley" is just over 50 lbs. and very active. We got her from a farm downstate from a family who owned the mother. We did not see the father, but was told that he was a good hunter. She was crate trained originally and still likes to sleep in it. It must be a comfort thing for her. She eats IAMS Lamb and Rice for Puppies, twice a day. She loves kids. I have a 12 yr. old girl.

I also have a 14 yr. old female Lab that she loves to pick on. They co-exist just fine together, but the older one really tries to avoid Wrigley.

I would include her crate and bed along with her frisbee which she loves.

The reason that I am offerring her for adoption, is because after having the 14 yr. old for so long, I would like to take a break from dog ownership and have time available for travel, etc. It is going to be tough giving her up, but as long as she is going to a good, active home, I'm sure that she will be fine.

Hank is a neutered 6 yrs old Lab mix dog, weighs 85lbs and stands about 26" tall. He has beautiful light blue eyes and a thick coat in white, amber, and black. He loves car rides, his belly and neck rubbed, and meeting new people, basking in the sun. He is a very friendly dog who is great with other dogs, children, and even strangers. So he probably wouldn't make for a great guard dog since he loves everyone, and is a total sweetheart. He listens very well to commands and a leash is not necessary, he will follow you anywhere. He would need two to three short walks a day or a nice size yard to roam and run. He is completely house broken, no poop, no pee, and no chewing. Although he has claimed our loveseat as his very own, lol.

Hank came to live with us a few months ago, he belonged to a friend who has recently become ill and can't take care of him anymore. Since we have two dogs of our own, it is has become to difficult for us to care for two more dogs.

1 Yr Old Doggie Needs New Loving Home

His name is Rocco, he is a very lovable sweetheart about 15 months old. We were told by our vet that he is a Labrenese, which is a Bernese Mountain dog and a Labrador hybrid breed. He has gorgeous very shiny thick black fur with a white patch on chest, one blue eye and one dark brown eye. Up to date on his shots, although he has not yet been neutered. He is a large dog approximately 29 inches tall and about 95-100 lbs, and still filling out. Very sweet and active dog that loves to play. Fetch, tug-o-war, tag, wrestling, are just a few games Rocco loves to play. He is a cuddler and loves to give kisses. He definitely needs a large fenced yard to roam and release his energy. Since larger breed dogs are in their puppy stage a lot longer he needs plenty of exercise and toys to occupy him. He has been around my two dogs and his owner has another dog, so he is pretty much used to having other dogs to play with. We are looking for someone who has experience with large breed dogs. He is still young and needs strict discipline. Rocco is a very strong dog and because of this I would not recommend him for small children or elderly people. He would work great with someone dominate enough to finish training him and active enough to give him the proper amount of exercise his breed demands. Rocco is house trained and knows the "sit", "stay", "lay down", "no", "give me paw", and "go get it" (fetch) commands. He is very loyal and still very trainable.
A friend has become ill and can no longer take care of Rocco or his other dog. I have fallen in love with this big baby, but have two dogs of my own and I am not able to take care of two more dogs.

I am putting together a group of volunteers to come to the Animal Welfare League in Chicago Heights, IL. If you're interested, please contact me. I went there to volunteer the other day, and to put it lightly, the conditions for those animals are absolutely atroucious. The staff I encountered there are only there because "it's a job," not for the right reason-because they love animals. So, I took it upon myself to put the word out there that this specific AWL facility and the animals in it desperately need people like you and I to come and make their temporary stay just a little bit more bearable. I don't think it's too much to ask to have drinking water without feces in it, or to have a blanket to lay on that isn't completely soiled. There hasn't been anyone who has taken the bull by the horns at this place in a very long time it looks like. The other problem is that not many people know of the conditions of the place unless they work there. So as a solution, I'd like to have all of us go in there and "start from scratch," so to speak. What I mean by this is to give the areas where the animals reside a thourough cleaning. So far, this will be one day only, so you won't be committing to a lengthy process. If you're interested, please contact me. The date is Sunday, August 3rd. We will be arriving there at 9 in the morning. I know for some of you reading this, it may be out of the way, but I live in Berwyn, and would be more than happy to pack my car with people. If you're afraid of fecal matter, or things like that, please do not reply. (They have rubber gloves, so you won't be in contact with it.) Free Kittens are not free if they receive proper care. Immunizations and spaying/neutering costs money. My six month old kitten wasn't free and he has cost me money ever since he came home. (I love him and knew what it cost before bringing him home) First there are all the immunizations (which we found out he is allergic to and had to be treated for) The shot for the reaction was $19.00 and the meds to go home with were another $18. I have a pet wellness plan for him and that was $89.00 to start and $21.95 per month for the first year. (This covered his neuter and all shots). After the first year the plan goes up to $27.95 per month for adults (adults need more services). These are the costs if the cat doesn't get sick. My kitten had an ear infection and the cost was an additional $55 dollars for meds. (The office visit was covered under his wellness plan). Then also to be considered are the costs to feed the pet, purchase liter, toys, bedding, and clawing posts. FREE KITTENS ARE NOT FREE. This is one of the reasons that the shelters are full. People take home the pets without considering what they cost. Then they don't spay/neuter (due to the cost) and then there are more kittens to find homes for.

Shelters spay/neuter kittens and start the vaccines on kittens and grown cats come with all their shots, spayed/neutered. Something to think about before taking home that free kitten. The $150 the animal shelter charges...is small change compared to the amount they put into the animals.

Found: Two Cats (brown/white and orange/white) (Oak Park-- Austin and Van Buren)

There are two small cats wandering around the intersection of Austin and Van Buren in Oak Park. One is a brown and white tabby and the other is orange and white.

They might just be outdoor cats belonging to someone in the neighborhood, but they were both so scared and thin that they seem more like lost cats or strays. I called Oak Park Animal Control and left a message describing the cats' location. I will keep an eye out for them in the morning and see if they are still there. I have a 2 yr. old female bull snake on the small side. was my son's 1st snake. she's a great pet.she eats 2 frozen fuzzies. should be weekly but my son is too busy to care for her so sometimes is every other. she likes to be held,she's very social. has never bitten. fed in seperate tank. she won't eat live prey. she is a perfect starter snake. even my 9 yr old daughter plays with her.
rehoming price-$50 for snake alone or with tank, 2 hide boxes, water dish, (was in 10 gal but moved her to 20 long,so you'll need to buy a bottom heater) lamp it's a 20gal- for $100.
1st picture was about 6 months ago. she's shed a couple time since then. next 2 pic were taken tonight.

We like large shorthair dogs and decided that either a Weimaraner or Dalmatian puppy would be the perfect dog for us. My husband had already two Weimaraners before our Pitbull, who recently died, so we know what we have to expect. If anyone has a puppy, we would appreciate it very much to hear from you soon. We just had to put our 5 year old Pitbull puppy down, a little bit over a month ago. He surprisingly got diagnosed with lung cancer and a week later we had to put him a sleep to release him from the suffering.
Now our home feels so empty without a puppy. We are a very active couple and work at different shifts, so that one of us would be home at all times. We have a big yard, a couple cats and no children. we actually went to several animal shelters first, but could either not fing hat kind of breed or when we found one we really wanted to adopt, he or she was already spoken for. I hope we can find a new puppy through Craigslist.

Our family recently doubled in sized and I've recently had to extend my work hours as a result. This has left our 3 year old Black Lab named Lolly with virtually no attention. She's a good dog, knows a few tricks and had a full update of her shots in May. She is not very high maintenance but needs some play and walk time, which we just don't have the time to give. She loves to play and is great with people. Lolly has little exposure to playing with other dogs so she is very curious about them, but not aggressive at all. she's quite the push over around other dogs actually.
