In collaboration with the city of Chicago, District Haus (1607 and 1611 N. 13th St.) is providing affordable housing at below-market rates, adhering to the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO). Eligibility for these select units is determined by your household size and annual income, as specified on the City of Chicago's website. Households are required to meet the income requirements to be considered for an apartment. If you make more than the income requirements, you will not qualify.

Fourteen (14) three-bedroom, two-bathroom “below market-rate” rental units are about to be available at District Haus! Read on below to learn more about the property, available units, information about the ARO program, and the application process!

Six (6) units at 1607 W. 13th St. Chicago, IL 60608; Six (6) units at 1611 W 13th St. Chicago, IL 60608; and two (2) ADA specific units at 1615 W 13th St. Chicago, IL 60608. This brand-new construction offers stunning new finishes and a prime location in the heart of Illinois Medical District. Tenants are responsible for paying for electricity, gas, and internet. Applicants must be income-eligible.

One (1) unit at 40% AMI: rent is $1,050 a month;
Households must earn no more than the maximum income levels below:
40% of Area Median Income:
One (1) person - $31,400; Two (2) persons -$35,880; Three (3) persons - $40,360; Four (4) persons - $44,840, Five (5) persons - $48,440

Five (5) units at 50% AMI: rent is $1,341 a month;
Households must earn no more than the maximum income levels below:
50% of Area Median Income:
One (1) person - $39,250; Two (2) persons -$44,850; Three (3) persons - $50,450; Four (4) persons - $56,050, Five (5) persons - $60,550

Three (3) units at 60% AMI: rent is $1,633 a month;
Households must earn no more than the maximum income levels below:
60% of Area Median Income:

Three (3) units at 70% AMI: rent is $1,924 a month;
Households must earn no more than the maximum income levels below:

Two (2) units at 80% AMI: rent is $2,216 a month.
Households must earn no more than the maximum income levels below:
80% of Area Median Income:
One (1) person - $62,800; Two (2) persons -$71,800; Three (3) persons - $80,750; Four (4) persons - $89,700, Five (5) persons - $96,900

Two (2) units are adaptable for people with disabilities available at 1615 W 13th St Chicago, IL 60608. Accessible dwellings, "below market rate" rental units, are currently available to applicants with disabilities that require accessibility features.
The building and units include the following accessible elements:
- Accessible enclosed outdoor parking space
- Accessible mailboxes
- Accessible main building entrance
- Accessible unit primary door and interior doors
- Accessible route through the unit
- One adaptable bathroom with accessible shower, the other bathroom has a bathtub
- Adaptable bathroom sink with removable cabinet
- Kitchen with accessible wall cabinets, work counter, accessible sink and appliances
- All electrical outlets and switches, and the thermostat at accessible reach range
