My home is a 1907 Victorian with lots of rustic charm. Whenever people enter this house, they always say it reminds them of their ancestral home- whether that is a farmhouse in France, in the mountains of Nepal, or in Northern Wisconsin. I guess it makes people feel they are removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and in place where they can completely relax and settle in.

I have recently put in a beautiful, modern garden unit with its own entrance/exit so it is fully stand-alone. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with an extra large stand up shower with rain head and hand shower, brass finishes, and a bidet. The kitchen has a cast iron sink with Amish made custom cabinets with slow closes, and a gas stove, and a reading nook. The floors are stained original floors and you have three windows that open to the outside. You have a couch which opens up to a double bed. This house is ideal for a professional, a small family, or graduate student. I am an acupuncturist who is relatively quiet, likes to read, cook, listen to records on our player, and loves to garden in our large and very wild forest-like backyard. I have two adorable and happy children living with me who can often be seen working in the garden too. We live above you and we hope to have a very neighborly relationship with you. We take care of our three chickens in the back who give us a delicious egg a piece each morning while needing very little care in return and you are welcome to those eggs too. We also have a vegetable and herb garden, a pond, and a 100-year old barn in the back. It is a very large lot, over 200ft so there is plenty of space for sitting outside to read, have breakfast, or watch the wildlife that goes on back there. We always have rabbits, cardinals, finches and squirrels to observe!
Parking is very easy on the street right outside the door. We are very close to the metra and the CTA at Granville and Loyola.

I am looking for short term (three month) to long term tenants so please feel free to email me. Apartment is available May 1, 2024
Look forward to meeting you!
