Criss cross oak legs and stretchers with metal tops. Made by American Seating Company. Founded in 1886 in Michigan, American Seating Company was originally named Grand Rapids School Furniture. Kroehler bought the Naperville Lounge Co., a maker of wooden lounge chairs and upholstered furniture, renaming it the Kroehler Manufacturing Co. By the middle of the 1940s, with over $20 million in annual sales, Kroehler was the second-largest furniture maker in the United States. During the 1960s, when the company employed close to 8,000 people around the country, annual revenues passed $100 million. A perfect office in a small space. Tall, with four divided cubbies on top, followed by a large open space. Secretary desk is next with letter dividers and a shelf. Then 4 large drawers! All with Danish style carved walnut handles.
