condition: good
make / manufacturer: Milwaukee Chair Company
Free vintage chair! In the alley in back of 2109 W. California (on Henry court) We just put it out there.

Antique chair by Milwaukee Chair Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Solid oak back, seat, and base with great grain. Reads "Milwaukee Chair Co.,Oct 20, 1914'' Fully functional, heavy steel infrastructure. Two steel adjustment knobs for back resistance, height, and spring tension. Adjustable seat. Rolls nicely. One of the wheels pops out and needs to be secured ( you just need to buy a caster socket insert at the hardware store) but still rolls around without it. Good vintage very well loved condition with marks scratches etc but still has a lot of life in it. Very well built and sturdy.

From 1889 through 1940 the Milwaukee Chair Co. furnished the U.S. House and Senate with oak and walnut chairs, a few of which still remain in use. The company earned the reputation of making ''strong, beautiful, and comfortable furniture".
