The Sony KV-3000R was a 1981 luxury console television featuring a 30-inch Trinitron picture tube, the largest color picture tube produced at the time. It was a symbol of wealth, selling for $10,000 and available through the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog. Features included automated tambour doors, tamo ash wood veneer, and dual bass-reflex speakers, with only 1,000 units manufactured.
