A stone classic, Fifty Years Of Lawn Tennis In The United States, is an embarrassment of riches in terms of vintage photos and historical info on the origins of "lawn tennis" in the United States.
Any serious/unserious fan of the game should have this limited edition book in their collection. Take a look at the photos I've included here and there's MANY more where those came from. The book is a treasure trove of vintage photos and first-hand accounts of a game that doesn't really exist anymore in an America of Yesteryear. Just incredible stuff.
Printed in one edition only of 3,000 copies, as stated inside the book.
Excellent condition overall. Barely handled. Cover shows a very slight half-circle mark only visible in certain light. One corner is dinged, otherwise very sharp.
If the ad is up the book is available. Cash at pickup. See my other listings for many other great tennis titles.
