The Memory and Perception in Schizophrenia Lab at the University of Chicago is conducting a study of visual memory and is looking for individuals to volunteer. The purpose of this research study is to learn more about how visual memories are formed, and how this process may be disrupted in people with mental illness.
Volunteers may be eligible if that are between 25-58 years of age and have been diagnosed with:
We are also looking for volunteers who have never been diagnosed with serious mental illness!
Volunteers will be asked to come in for 3 sessions lasting 2-3 hours each and do the following:
- Answer questions about mental health history and history of drug and alcohol use
- Complete an electrocochleogram (EEG) assessment in which sensors record brain activity while performing tasks on a computer
- Pass a drug test at the start of each session
Volunteers will receive $20 per hour of participation.
