For sale are Lii Song Fast 15 speaker drivers, an improved version of the latest and greatest in OB (open baffle) speaker building the regular 15" drivers (F-15). The Fast 15 go deeper and higher, FS of 36.5hz vs 46hz for F-15 and 18khz vs 15khz at the top. They are also priced 40% higher - $549 vs $399 for the F-15. Plus shipment adding it up to $600. Plus count in tariffs (47%?) today. But these were purchased just before the tariffs, only a few months old, in pristine shape, perhaps even better than new because they require 500 hours or so to break in, and I think they are broken in. So, you get the best of all worlds: some of the most amazing full ranges regardless of price (check the Internet), pristine, broken in and discounted from the pre-tariff prices.
I am selling them to get my friend's system. I ran them in parallel with Lii Song's F-6's in a room over 30 square meters, but my friend with a similar room runs f-18's in parallel with F-8's which, though a little less detailed, produce a little more oomph. But if you do not listen to symphonies or have smaller room, you've no reason to upgrade, in fact Fast 15's would be preferrable.
If interested, you can have the 6.5" F-6's for $60, also broken in and pristine or get new at Amazon for $80. It's highly recommended to have the big full ranger in parallel with F-6 or F-8 - adds 3db, sounds fuller and no crossover.
The price is firm, if it doesn't sell locally, it'll go to audio forums - I still have the original packing, so it's no big deal to ship. Cash or PP (add 3% if not FF) .
