Dog Walkers / Cat Sitters M-F 10AM-4PM - Steady Routes! (Lincoln Park)

compensation: $15.50/hr
employment type: part-time

If you take graduate night classes, freelance or have flexible hours with another job, dog walking or kitty sitting may be a perfect fit for you!

We are a top-rated pet sitting company (Best of Chicago, Yelp 5-Star business, etc) that has been operating in Chicago for 14 years! We have hundreds of clients, and assign pet sitters to steady routes.

We train sitters in best practices, and provide all the essentials for work. We have regular staff meetings, and have built an exciting, fun, and positive culture!

We support sitters throughout the work day, while sitters enjoy a high level of autonomy.

We provide regular performance reviews and pay raises (first opportunity within one month of employment!).

You are extremely responsible and dedicated, own a reliable smartphone, and love to interact with both people and their pets. You’re enthusiastic, dependable, and have strong attention to detail. The relationship between a sitter and a client is critical, so you have well-honed written and verbal skills.

The following requirements MUST be met to be considered:
-You love animals, including dogs AND cats
-You are available Monday THRU Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM (all 5 days are a must)
-You have reliable transportation (bike/car/scooter)
-You have a smartphone with wireless data plan
-You are energetic, positive, and a hard worker
-You can make a long-term commitment (at least 6 months)

Applicants who work second jobs or graduate students with classes starting after 4pm are encouraged to apply. Freelancers who set their own hours, or those that work from home before 10 AM or after 4 PM should apply!

Interested in working more than 10 AM - 4 PM? We always have additional opportunities for our staff and will be eager to grow your schedule if you are.

Please reply with your resume attached, AND answer the following 4 questions in the body of the email:
1. Why would you make a good addition to our team?
2. What is your primary mode of transportation? (If you have a bike, please tell us how often you bike in the winter.)
3. What make/model phone do you have, and what is your data plan?
4. What is your daily and weekly availability?

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants who do not respond to these 4 questions or do not attach a resume will not be considered.

We're looking forward to hearing from you!
