AN ALL NEW KIND OF SHOW BY SINGER-SONGWRITER-GUITARIST PHIL CIRCLE
AT DAVENPORT'S IN THE CABARET ROOM
A new show written and performed by Phil Circle.
We all can relate to the songs we love and the stories they tell. Here's a chance to hear some new songs and stories...
Enjoy a night of stories in the spoken voice and through songs.
Hear about the personal struggles, the momentary victories, and the idealistic opinions. Feel the love of the music, the dislike of its attendant business, and the love-hate relationship with the lifestyle. Experience the love and fear of life. Be there for the darkest moment. Stand tall for the brightest victory. It all comes together and alive in this hour long raw, heartfelt and open-ended performance piece. The tales come from personal experience, and are told through the voice and music of Phil Circle. They are shared and performed in the moment.
This goes beyond Phil's usual chatty self at shows. This digs into the less mentioned areas and gets more detailed and serious. Less drunk-a-log, more truth. Less color, more black and white. Less shielded, more wounded. You get the idea.
There's some light on the darkness, some encouragement that it's safe to share openly of oneself, some dry humor, lots of tunes, lots of words, and about a 60/40 ratio of music to spoken word with a two drink minimum per set.
Advance Tickets/Reservations are highly recommended.
The cover is $15, the parking is free and easy on Sundays.
