We're looking for a Kitchen Manager/Lead Cook to execute on our menu, select and purchase ingredients, and supervise staff to ensure the quality and safety of food in our company. You will create recipes and use technology to plan menus, monitor food costs, and order supplies.

As Kitchen Manager/Lead Cook, you should have knowledge of restaurant equipment and ingredients in order to prepare meals that satisfy our customers’ tastes. It is also important to have knowledge of menu ingredients, as well as the need for using safe handling procedures in the kitchen. In addition, you will train staff with regard to hygiene and safety standards. Ultimately, the Kitchen Manager/Lead Cook responsibilities include delivering food menu items that are profitable and consistent with both customer tastes and the image of our company, ensuring that all employees follow proper protocol in their work place.

Responsibilities:
-Prepare and organize food, ingredients and cooking materials for cooking sessions.
-Inspect and maintain food safety standards in kitchen, including opening and closing back of house checklists.
-Plan menu specials, orders and shopping lists, ensuring that ingredients and supplies are available before each session.
-Order and shop for food supplies for the kitchen and make sure the stock is maintained.
-Manage kitchen staff including their attendance, schedules, performance, evaluation and development.
-Supervise kitchen operations during preparation and cooking sessions.
-Assist in scheduling and organizing activities to ensure all regulations are met (food safety standards, hygiene procedures, required safety signage and logs etc.).
-Handle administrative tasks like creating ad hoc reports for management, pricing, and ordering product etc.

Qualifications
-Proven experience in a restaurant setting, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
-Expertise in food handling and service, demonstrating excellent knife skills and culinary techniques.
-Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department operations is a plus.
-Previous experience in catering and fine dining environments is highly valued.
-Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen operations.
-Professionally and effectively communicate with staff, other company leaders, and owners.
