We are seeking a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager that is proud of the work they do in their chosen profession and strives to achieve culinary excellence at every given opportunity.
Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager Job Responsibilities:
• Direct food preparation and collaborate with owners for food specials and production
• Design and develop food and drinks menu.
• Consistently produce high quality plates, including both design and taste.
• Oversee and supervise kitchen staff. In a calm, professional, compassionate fashion.
• Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
• Ensure that food is top quality, and that kitchen is in good condition.
• Keep stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
• Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
• Assist owners schedule staff shifts based on your observations of their abilities / who works best together for team building and promote harmony in the workplace.
• Train new employees.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues to owners for resolution.
• Take initiative to solve problems that arise, seize control to resolve them.
Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
