RT Bistro, a new concept from the team at RICH TABLE, is seeking a Sous Chef to join our team. RT Bistro brings the spirit of RICH TABLE’s ingredient-driven California cooking to a vibrant, all-day neighborhood setting — where quality, creativity, and hospitality come together in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
We focus on seasonal and local ingredients from Northern California’s best farms and producers. Our menu evolves with the market, inspired by global flavors and a deep respect for craftsmanship. We’re looking for a skilled, thoughtful, and motivated Sous Chef who is excited to help shape a new kitchen and culture from the ground up. Job Description
This is a full-time, leadership position that works closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen operations. The Sous Chef plays a key role in maintaining consistency, supporting and training the team, and ensuring a smooth, positive, and professional work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily prep, production, and service
Supporting menu execution and seasonal development
Training, mentoring, and motivating line and prep cooks
Managing kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
Maintaining inventory, ordering, and cost control
Ensuring all dishes meet RICH TABLE standards of quality and presentation
Fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and growth
Minimum of 3 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
Strong cooking fundamentals and passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Calm, organized, and solution-oriented under pressure
Commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and hospitality
