Comes with upgrade/optional safety spring-loaded cover that protects both your hands as well as the blade when not in use by fully covering the blade. When using, depress the safety with your thumb to expose the blade. Very innovative! Must see! Power switch has side safety actuator "lockoff switch" that must be depressed before power can activate. You might just save your own fingers with this invaluable saw and its safety devices!
