As you can see this is a steal, with shipping it's over 50% off.
The fabric is Como Earth, a performance velvet blend, it's very soft but still stain-proof and pet-proof. If you google it, it looks more brown in swatches online, but it's really a dark gray with some brown undertones. It's very neutral, but the darker fabric keeps it looking pristine.
Re pets: I have cats, and I've been shocked at how well the fabric works. It's like magic, they can't pull their claws through it so the worst you get is tiny pokes. They're not noticeable at all unless you're looking for it, it's incredible. I've never had a couch hold up this well with cats.
Part of that is I got these cute (and expensive, they were $300) protectors made to custom fit the areas where cats tend to gravitate, they are made out of scratching post material and they get a lot of use — which always makes me grateful I got them. I also usually have lots of pillows and a big quilt throw on it (you can see in the pics), and don't let them access the open areas, so there's not much area available to them day-to-day even if they were to try putting their claws in.
I vacuum and steam clean it and all the pillows regularly, I'm very tidy, and keep my apartment smelling delightful (and do not smoke) so the couch is very fresh.
It's generally in incredibly clean condition, and is not even a year old, I'm selling at a huge discount because there are some tiny claw pokes in various places — if you have cats who are going to do that to your furniture regardless, this is really the perfect deal for you — and given that the protectors are a custom height, I will send those with you for free if you want them.
It is surprisingly light and easy to move given how deep and solid it is, most of the bulk is actually in the fantastic base pillows (which are made out of this dense memory foam that is firm but cushions you perfectly, it's so nice). It's 80" so pretty maneuverable as well. It's still a couch, so you'll need 2 people and a truck or van, but as far as couches go it's as easy as it comes.
So, whether you're looking for the perfect elegant, invincible, modern cat couch in the world, or just want a really great deal on a sofa that will last the rest of your life — if you can wrestle up a couple decently strong folks and a truck, you can save a lot of money going with this one!e
