The bowl is 100% solid copper - better than industry standards. It's complemented by the interlocking circle iron base with a powdercoated finish to prevent rust. A powdercoated iron grate allows the ventilation necessary for several hours of roaring fire.
The copper bowl has seen a bit of rain recently, so a simple copper polish will get it back up and shining to its original condition. Something simple from Amazon that I've used for this bowl is a copper and brass polish cream: amazon.com/Twinkle-Cleaning-Effective-Formula-4-38-Ounce/dp/B003YP8T74
The firepit comes with a Safety Sparkguard that fits perfectly with the copper firepit and latches on, opens up freely on a hinge (see photos), but also keeps people/ children/ dogs safe from flying sparks! The Sparkguard alone is normally $476.10 when sold new, plus taxes and delivery/ shipping fees. I am happy to throw the Sparkguard in for an additional $150.

The fire pit also comes with an iron grate to allow for ventilation and to allow burning wood to not directly touch the copper base. Absolutely beautiful when the copper lights up and reflects a wood-burning fire!
