Danish Teak Side Table by Povl Dinesen - $950 (Bucktown)

This teak side table with magazine shelf, model PD 15A, was one of those pieces designed, made, and retailed by Povl Dinesen. Although simple in concept, the subtle curves of the table top and framing, along with magazine shelf sliding just past the legs creates an elegant effect. The table top and magazine shelves are teak veneer, with the leg/rail framing in solid teak.
The side table is in very good shape for its age. The wood has been recently cleaned and reconditioned to highlight warm patina that has developed over the last 60 years. There are some darker stain patterns on the table top surface, as well as the usual nicks, marks, and scratches that are to be expected in vintage furniture that has been actively used.
The table is 29" long, 19 3/4" wide, and 22 1/2" tall, and still retains two makers mark metallic labels on the underside.
$950. Pick-up in person is preferable, but I can also deliver to a portion of the Chicagoland area for a nominal fee. Cash only. In your reply, please include a phone number where you can be reached.
