Kurt Ostervig was a leading furniture designer during the 1950's and 1960's, who focused on producing designs for Denmark's burgeoning factory industry. He primarily worked with two manufacturers, Jason Mobler and Henry Rolschau, but he also did freelancing designs for Brande, Sibast, and Slagelse, amongst others.
This teak fliptop serving cart, model #PD 112 in the Povl Dinesen catalog, was probably designed sometime in the 1960's and is an nice example of the flexibility of Ostervig's designs. Turned solid teak legs support a teak veneered upper tray top, with rimmed shelf below, which can be removed and used as a serving tray. For larger service, or when mixing drinks, the tray top flips open, via brass hinges, and turns into an easily-cleaned black laminate bar top.
The serving cart is in very good condition for its age, for both structural and finish. Some light stains, marks, and scratches still remain on the table, which is to be expected on vintage furniture which has been actively used over the last 60 years.
Dimensions are: 29 1/2" long (59" when open) by 17 1/2" deep by 24" tall. The cart is marked with the Danish quality control heat brand.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of scammers on craigslist these days, I will not respond to anyone who does not include a phone number in their reply. Also, craigslist e-mails often get lost or blocked for various reasons, so if you've sent a legitimate e-mail and have not received a response, please try again. No scammers please.
