It can be used alone also but it is only 4 inches thick, queen size.
The yellow marks is from the sun, I let it sit by the window and it changed the color a bit :( on one side only.
We bought it and thought we would love it but my husband is not a fan of it as it is just too soft for him. I like it but "happy husband, happy life" :) He just prefers the original old school mattress, our loss is your gain!
We practically never even slept on it, so it is almost brand new.
