Growing manufacturing company on the west side of Chicago (west of Humbolt Park) with 100 employees at this facility has an immediate opening for a part-time Human Resources Generalist to handle day-to-day issues and recruiting.
The position would be flexible with work hours, averaging between 10 – 15 hours per week. The schedule could as an example be 10 am to 3 pm two or three days per week, but must be firm once established.
The part-time HR Generalist performs generalist including recruiting and selecting staff, employee relations, policy administration, payroll timekeeping verification, benefits paperwork, paid leave tracking, legal compliance, workers’ compensation reporting and other activities commonly included in the HR function.
The qualified candidate must be bi-lingual Spanish/English.
A solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, good communication skills, sound problem resolution, reasoning and decision making skills, professional manner and high level of partnering and interpersonal skills are required.
It is preferred that the applicant have completed a bachelor’s degree in HR or related area, but this is not a requirement if the candidate has sufficient applicable experience. HR Certification or recent training in HR would be a plus.
This position would be paid on an hourly basis.
The location has secure off-street parking at the facility.
