Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Janitorial Operations Manager to oversee Janitoral cleaning operations across multiple accounts in Illinois, Wisconsin, and parts of Indiana. This role is responsible for ensuring service quality, managing field staff, responding to operational issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires flexibility. The Operations Manager must be available to work varied shifts and hours, including early mornings, evenings, overnight visits, and occasional weekends as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day janitorial operations across multiple client sites
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks
• Manage, support, and hold accountable site supervisors and cleaning staff
• Respond to call-offs, emergencies, and operational issues in real time
• Ensure proper staffing, coverage, and adherence to schedules
• Train new hires and existing staff on procedures, safety, and expectations
• Maintain compliance with company standards, safety policies, and client requirements
• Communicate with clients regarding service issues, special requests, and performance
• Assist with onboarding new accounts and transitioning services
• Coordinate with management on staffing needs, supplies, and operational improvements
Schedule & Availability
• Salaried position with variable hours
• Must be available for different shifts and times, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and occasional weekends
• Hours may fluctuate based on operational needs, emergencies, and account coverage
Qualifications
• Previous experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations management required
• Experience managing teams across multiple locations strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in fast-paced situations
• Excellent communication and follow-through
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable traveling between sites in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana
