Learn the actual math and coding skills needed for trading! (Chicago)

I research and design algorithmic trading strategies full-time in a high frequency trading firm, and is here to teach you the actual skillsets that most smart profitable traders have. I am not going to give or sell you BS technical indicators, which as we all know works ... until they don't.
Instead, I can coach/teach you on applying any of these useful topics/techniques to your trading, which is what the traders in hedge funds and banks use. Whether you are a complete newbie and want a solid foundation to start on, or if you are a seasoned professional looking to for the extra edge to be more competitive/profitable, these subjects all help:
• Econometrics, time series analysis, and machine learning to analyze the massive amount of data, and get real practical results to feed into your strategy.
• Option pricing theory and stochastic calculus to truly understand how options work and why they are priced the way they are. With good mathematical modeling, you can easily find mispricings in the market to take advantange of.
• Market microstructure if you want to create competitive HFT (high-frequency) market-making strategies to capture the spread in the market. I can help your strategy identify hidden liquidity/volume in the orderbook, as well as capturing other sources of risk-free arbitrages/inefficiencies in the market with your speed.
• C++ and Python in order to automate and scale your strategies and make it as close to hands-free as possible! I can improve your backtesting system so that they give reliable results, considering slippage, transaction costs, and the queue positions in the orderbook.
• In addition, I have IT experience and can guide you if you want to add hardware advantages to your strategy, such as using GPU/FPGA/ASIC's to trade even faster, utilizing microwaves to send/receive data faster, add colocation and support your direct connectivity to exchanges and avoid sending your orders through an unnecessary middleman like brokers, who might give you inferior prices or trade against you.
It certainly isn't easy to consistently make money on the market as an amateur, but it is also very possible if you go for the same valuable skillsets that trading professionals do. I have the most experience in the stock/equities market, options market, and the crypto market, but many of these skills work on Forex and futures too.
